Hi,

I am taking the genetics course this summer... and i find it to be tough.. just wondering what everyone out there thinks about this one.. what is a good/decent grade to get on this one?

Genetics is challenging but I found it fascinating. It's definitely possible to get an A if you keep on track...and can stay up the night before the test to cram....

the inital part of genetics is tough cuz it deals with the mendelian probablities...which kinda is boring and sux. however, when u start molecular genetics, it will get very easy...i am sure u will get an A...

Thanks for all the support.. I can use all the help i can get.. I am shooting for a good score in the next test.. right now it kinda sucks.. u study.. cram whatever and then u get the questions wrong because of some detail that u missed..

How good/bad does a B in genetics look like.. i know A would look a lot better.. if i could make it!!

Just study your arse off. Right now, I'm taking genetics AND A&PII with lab and I've got an A in both so far...but I don't have a life. Oh yea, I also work 30 hrs a week...again, I don't have a life!🙁
But, I think it's worth it. It's just 5 weeks...it'll be over before you know it!!
I suppose if I didn't find much of an interest in the courses, it would be difficult to stay motivated. I think if I was taking 2 history, english or other yawn-course in the summer, I might not do as well. It definately is a lot of info to cram in in such a short time frame...so having a true interest in the material is a big plus and probably the difference between an A and a B.

don't worry if you end up with a B...it's not going to kill you! A "B" IS NOT BAD!!! It definately won't be a grade that will stand out! I would worry if maybe you got a C, and only if you have several of them in other science classes. RELAX!😛

dont worry if u get a B in the class. U might want to consider takin genetics lab, advanced genetics or microbio classes and getting A's in them. genetics is a hard class...and a B in it is not bad, but u can still go for a B+.

I got a B+ in the first semester of genetics (Medelian/molecular), and an A in the second semester (pedigrees/human); this did not hurt me at all.
