I want some good news out of someone!!!! This whole thread is making me afraid to check my mail.
 
it is weird that nobody has posted an acceptance. it'd be really cruel to just waitlist or reject everyone at this point. i'm starting to feel happy that a letter hasn't reached me yet!!
 
A friend of mine interviewed in Dec last year and was Accepted in Feb, no waitlist... so I guess they do accept some people straight out. Seems to be no rhyme or reason in their decisions to waitlist/accept. You guys are making me nervous though, it really does seem like they waitlist everyone! And to see people who had great interviews get rejected is a little odd too. I wont hear until Dec. tho. Good luck to everyone whose waiting now.

I have heard they waitlist most people from someone who graduated from Gtown in the 90's. So this is nothing new.
 
I just found out that I am on the same boat as the rest of you. They said they put me on the high priority waitlist. I felt that I really rocked the interview so I am thinking that this is really the best a person can hope for at this point in the process. I would be willing to be that they don't accept anyone this early so that they can hold out and see who else comes along. Best of luck to all of you!
 
Your letter said "high priority waitlist"?
 
I just remember that when I interviewed there, my host and both of his roommates said they came off the waitlist. Hope that helps!
 
narc, high priority waitlist = competitive applicant pool. When I was there I asked about this and they said they have rejections, waitlists, high priority (competitive) waitlists and acceptances. Hope this helps.
 
I got home today...checked the mail...and STILL nothing from georgetown. I interviewed Sep 21 and live 6 miles away. you're causing me to die a slow and painful death from anxiety....

UGH!! same here! and i interviewed just a day apart from you. what is going on????

nothing in the mail today. AGAIN. Anything for Lulu or anyone else? Lulu, do you think it's worth it to call??

nada. i think it'd be worth it to call, just to see if they'll give us any hints at all about what could be going on. let me know if you do!

actually, i just called!! the guy was really nice, but all he said was "it looks like a letter went out yesterday or this morning. you should hear something by early next week." (CROSSING FINGERS). if you're in the same mailing you should get something much quicker since you live so close.
 
woah crazy! actual information. I wonder if I'm in the same mailing.... When did you interview again? Good luck! I hope it's good news 🙂
 
i might be about to become really unpopular on this thread. my parents read me my acceptance letter down the phone today. i should have it in my hands in a few days once it gets thru the mail to college.

i'm stunned considering that was the worst interview of my life.

I received an acceptance yesterday via mail...regular sized envelope but rather thick! I think this is where I will be matriculating, I ABSOLUTELY loved it there. 😍

I interviewed Sept 20th...and called 11/10 (the day I recieved the acceptance letter) in the morning to check my app progress, the gentleman on the other end simply told me that a letter had been sent 11/6...meaning I spent the rest of the day waiting for the mailman. Sure enough it was there.

congrats to both of you!! i called on 11/9 and the gentleman also said my letter had just been mailed, so i am hoping to get good news early next week (i am on the west coast). hopefully i was in your batch of acceptances!! congrats!!
 
thanks! i think i totally wrote the school off because i thought my interview went so badly, so now that i have the choice to go there i dont even know what to think. i've been daydreaming ever since my parents called!

Still nothing today! I'm beginning to worry. Do you guys think I should wait until it's been 8 weeks to the day, or just call tomorrow (1 day early) to check on my app. I already called once last week... I don't want the committee to get annoyed by my pestering.

anythink in the mail kbear?
 
aww, i got really excited that you might be posting an acceptance!! i still dont know if i got anything.... i haven't been home to check the mail. but the mail may be slowed b/c of the Holiday (??). I think you should call again this week and just say "hi, it has been 8 weeks since i interviewed and i wondered if any decision has been made, etc etc." they DID say 6-8 weeks so i don't think it's unreasonable to just call if we haven't heard after 8 weeks.
 
i interviewed there on sept 29th and just received a letter saying i am in the competitive pool. better than a rejection.
 
hmmm.... this is frustrating! i interviewed the week before and STILL nothing!
 
I interviewed September 29 and Donna Sullivan said 6-8 weeks, but Dean Ford said it might take longer. Much to my surprise, a letter dated October 30 arrived in my mailbox on November 2....an ACCEPTANCE!!!
