GPA's, GRE's, XTRA's, ACCEPTANCES

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
When did you E-submit your PTCAS app? I applied to Midwestern too and haven't heard anything yet. You have great stats, I'm sure you'll get in!

I submitted it *way* later than I should have. I'll have perpetual guilt about it. I finally submitted everything October 1st. And thank you! I believe Midwestern is still contacting applicants about interview dates.

When did you hear from Governor's State? I applied too but haven't heard anything yet... Thanks!

I think you and I are twins. We are essentially the same applicant haha :highfive:

Haha there are a lot of similarities! Both of us are Rehab Aides, similar GPAs and GREs. Applied to 5 of the same schools lol. Have you decided on which school to interview at on the 2nd?

Probably Bellarmine, I weighed both schools and Bellarmine took the cake. ISU said they'd get back to me about a another interview time, but they won't know until everyone gets back to them, so we shall see. The big discrepancy between the schools is the $$$$, two very opposite ends of the spectrum.

Interesting. What criteria did you use to pick Bellarmine over ISU?

Any advice for Rosalind Franklin interview? Thanks!

@PTstudent22 , I had an interview at Rosalind Franklin also, and I would look up youtube videos on MMI interview scenarios, and brainstorm how you would approach those topics if they are brought up in the interview. You can never expect what kind of questions you will be asked, but what I wish I knew when I did my interview was to have conviction in your answers. Remember that just one station went bad, you will have chances to redeem yourself at other stations. Good luck!

It was good! There were 10 of us there, we split into two groups for our group interviews, and then each had an individual interview and toured the physical therapy department. Everyone was so nice and the facility was great! I'm planning on accepting Augusta when I receive the official letter though.

It all comes down to UNMC and UIC. I honestly feel grateful for an another chance, but I feel some nervousness. Can't believe this year's application journey is coming to a close soon, and I really want to end this story in a happy note.

You can do this! Have you had a chance to do more interview prep and get feedback from other folks on your interview skills?

I'm rooting for you!!!

So if anyone else is in the same boat, email Scott Hasson.

People, look at my GPA. If you are not perfect there, nail your GRE, your interview, and your essay, that is what got me in!

we are all rooting for you.

think ahead the key points you want to hit (that is consistent with your authentic self . compassion to be a missionary;strong in analytical 161 in Q; your neuro is pretty unique so maybe touch up on how that makes you a better dpt..etc)

articulate it with good eye contacts! And of course a BIG SMILE.

Relax and good luck!
