How were you able to get interviews/acceptances with such low overall GPA. and GRE? I thought almost all schools require the minimum requirements to even be considered. I am asking because I am kind of on the same boat.

For anyone that has interviewed at Governor's State, do you have any tips? How long was the interview?

UPDATE: Accepted to Concordia University Wisconsin!! I was first on the waitlist. It's so surreal.

Aaaand I'm in at Midwestern University as well. But I'll be going to Concordia. I am every gif of Spongebob at this moment. I am twenty-six years old. No shame.

Has anyone in this forum heard anything from UNT since their October 21st interview?

Hi, Congrats on your acceptance. I have similar GPA but repeating my pre-reqs so it will be around 3.5. How did you get through without having 3.0 min cumulative GPA, cause I am getting rejected from schools that claimed not looking at Cgpa.

Congrats! Which one will you be attending?
I'm gonna be putting my deposit down for Columbia in January probably! I've been in California my whole entire life so I'm looking to get out of here for a little bit. Plus I absolutely loved the faculty and students at Columbia.

When did you receive the interview at Elon?

Anyone hear from UC? Apparently offers were yesterday

Just recieved an email that my CSUF application has been reviewed. Has anyone else received this email/know when interview offers are extended?

I applied to UC and I havent heard yet...
I have a suspicion/itch that UC sends out physical letters..so being sent out yesterday may mean it is still being delivered/processed

Thank you, congrats to you too!! My top 3 are UNF, UCF and Nova. I'm just in a bit of a pickle because I feel like I won't hear back from most other schools by the time Nova wants us to decide by. What are your top 3?

Waitlisted: Belmont (11/28 - they only had 6 spots left b/c they filled the other 42 spots w/ ED)

Is this going to happen more and more often as time goes on? Same situation with NYIT this year, they filled nearly 75% of their seats with ED lol

Thank you!
I submitted PTCAS Sept. 11th, and supplemental on Oct. 4th, then got their decision Nov. 22nd. So depending on which you're referring to, it was a little longer than 4 weeks. They have rolling admissions, so depending on when you submitted, I'd imagine you should be hearing from them rather soon. Hope this helps! Best of luck!

I got my acceptance from Nova SE today! It is my only acceptance so far, I am waiting to hear from Regis University, MUSC, and WKU still but MUSC is probably the only one I would choose over Nova SE so maybe we will be classmates!

I know the intent to enroll is due the 23rd but the e-mail was a little confusing. Congratulations on your acceptance, I'm still processing my news and can't believe it.

Hey! Congrats on your acceptance! If you don't mind sharing, what was your previous overall GPA before you retook your courses?

I'm still completing my undergrad but I know I'm going to have to retake a lot of courses to up my very very low GPA to even compete with most of the applicants.

UPDATE: ACCEPTANCE!

University: U of Cincinnati
Major: Exercise & Movement Science
Overall PTCAS GPA: 3.28 (lot of retaken courses)
Pre-Req GPA: 3.5-3.6 (depending on school)
Last 60 credit hours: 3.95 GPA

GRE: 156V, 160Q, 5.5AW

Extra-Curric: Rehab Aide @ outpatient clinic, Health Sciences Club, Building Supervisor UC Rec Center, Intramural Sports

Volunteer: Cincinnati Children's Inpatient PT/OT and various 1 day volunteer events.

Observation hours: 25 hours in acute care hospital.. ~50 from Cincinnati Chidren's, ~800 from work

Letters of Rec: 2 professors(Program Director and Head of Department), PT (who is also faculty of DPT program)

Applied: U of Cincinnati, Mount St. Joe, Walsh, Youngstown State, Bellarmine, Indiana State, U of Kentucky, Marshall

Interview: Mount St. Joe (11/18), Walsh U (11/11), ISU (12/3), Marshall (1/4)
Acceptances: Mount St. Joe (12/1)
Denials: Assuming Bellarmine as I did not get first round interview
Waitlisted: Walsh (12/6)
Extra: After being accepted to MSJ, I decline ISU and Marshall interview and also withdrew application from UK and Youngstown state so I don't know if I would have been accepted/denied by them. Also withdrew from Walsh after I was waitlisted, so don't know either.

My academic career should give some people motivation. Look at my GPA - it's horrible! But I took the time to retake many Pre-reqs to raise pre-req GPA, Aced my last 60 credit hours, and knocked the GRE out of the park. I believe my clinical experience (PT tech job) also aided in this. Never give up!
