Acceptances: AUGUSTA UNIVERSITY (11/23)!!!

Rejections: Belmont (GPA)

I did not receive the email from Augusta that everyone else was receiving, so I emailed Scott and he informed me that I was accepted, but that he didn't have my contact info, so I would have been contacted next week, if I had not emailed him. So if anyone else is in the same boat, email Scott Hasson.

People, look at my GPA. If you are not perfect there, nail your GRE, your interview, and your essay, that is what got me in!

Congratulations!!!! That is so awesome. I was recently notified that I am in the 90's on the wait list (11/28/2016). Even though that is very high I am trying to stay positive. I am a little confused as to how I am so far down the line. I thought there has only been four interview sessions (25 people each) and 40 available seats. Wouldn't that make a total waitlist of up to 60 people? Please let me know if you have any information or thoughts. Congratulations again!

I believe it is that they rank the 100 applicants they interviewed. the top 40 are automatically accepted and then the rest are on the waiting list, so you are in the 90s, that technically means you are in the 50s on the waiting list, if that makes sense? Did you email Scott asking to know where you fell in the rankings? Hopefully they will go through the waiting list a good bit

Yes, February 1st. Which is really not ideal because if I get an interview at colorado the interview is January 27th/28th :/ and then Duke is being completely silent haha. Isn't the waiting awful?!

It's hard to trust in the process! I know we will all end up where we are supposed to though 🙂

How was your interview with Midwestern? I haven't heard from them and am planning on giving them a call

The interview was super laid back, nothing to be nervous or anxious about! You interview with two faculty there, and it is completely blind. They haven't looked at your grades, test scores, or anything else you submitted, which is nice because this way they only judge how you are as a person. They haven't notified you of anything? My interview was in October, and they called me on Halloween letting me know that I was accepted there! I would definitely give them a call then!

Hey! I emailed Scott today and he confirmed what you said. I am technically 54 on the waitlist, but they still have the January Interviewers to consider. He told me it was not impossible, but highly unlikely that I would get accepted. Thank you for your response.

Ugh I'm in the same deal with Northwestern and Colorado. It's making my head hurt. I live in Denver now and really don't want to leave but I'd be nervous about passing up Northwestern without knowing if I've gotten into CU. THIS IS SO STRESSFUL

AHHHHH yes meeeee tooooo!!!! I just moved to Boulder from Denver and it would be really hard to leave home but I know how competitive Colorado is....but I also don't want to put down a $1000 deposit for northwestern and not end up going there! Blahhhh!

Thank you!
I submitted PTCAS Sept. 11th, and supplemental on Oct. 4th, then got their decision Nov. 22nd. So depending on which you're referring to, it was a little longer than 4 weeks. They have rolling admissions, so depending on when you submitted, I'd imagine you should be hearing from them rather soon. Hope this helps! Best of luck!

Congrats. I just got an interview for them. How was the interview process?

It was really laid back. Group interview with 3 students being interviewed by 3 people. They also fed us, which is always cool. If you have any other Q's let me know, I'll PM you.

It was good! There were 10 of us there, we split into two groups for our group interviews, and then each had an individual interview and toured the physical therapy department. Everyone was so nice and the facility was great! I'm planning on accepting Augusta when I receive the official letter though.
How quickly did you hear from Brenau after your interview? I have one on 12/9!

Did you have a phone interview with Nova?

What did Pitt say in the email they send and when did you submit your application?
They told me that I was added to the waitlist and it was not ranked and would not be looked at until mid March so the waiting game starts now! I applied early October.

Extra: After being accepted to MSJ, I decline ISU and Marshall interview and also withdrew application from UK and Youngstown state so I don't know if I would have been accepted/denied by them. Also withdrew from Walsh after I was waitlisted, so don't know either.

My academic career should give some people motivation. Look at my GPA - it's horrible! But I took the time to retake many Pre-reqs to raise pre-req GPA, Aced my last 60 credit hours, and knocked the GRE out of the park. I believe my clinical experience (PT tech job) also aided in this. Never give up!
