Thank you very much! I'm excited. I have been emailed by both saying they received my application. Then I received a letter in the mail from St Kates saying the courses I needed to take my last year to fulfill the requirements and that they would send me another letter within 4-6 weeks with a decision. Yeah, looks like we had the same ideas for schools! Good luck to you as well!!

Application was e-submitted recently, so hasn't been mailed yet. REALLY REALLY worried about my GREs 😕 though as my Q score isn't about 50%. I know my GPA isn't stellar either. I think the schools I applied to are just way too competitive. So we'll just have to see. Ugh.

Hi so I'm new to this and applying to DPT school. I applied last year and unfortunately did not get accepted so I am a little discouraged.

Graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a BS in Biology
GPA 3.082
GRE verbal 144 quantitative 144 but I am retaking it
Observation hours > 300
Hold part time position as PT aide so I will acquire many hours

Any suggestions or words of wisdom?

I've been lurking this thread for awhile and finally decided to post my stats. Can you guys please give me some insight as to what you think about my chances are for the schools I have listed? Maybe some additional schools you think would be good for me to apply to?

My freshman and sophomore years are really hurting my GPA, but you can see a pretty dramatic increase in my grades throughout my college career, up to my 4.0 post-bacc GPA that I'm currently working on at Cleveland State. This includes a bunch of PT related classes, including an anatomy course with a cadaver dissection and a physiology course with a lab (the physiology course I took in undergrad did not have a lab) I didn't really fall in love with the PT field until later in my undergrad, around the same time I really started trying in my classes and was doing well.

So please, if there's any advice any of you can give me, hit me with it. Like I said, I'm reapplying and am freaking out a little bit that I might not get in anywhere again. If that happens, I'm not sure what I'm going to do!

I am a current student at Governors State University and I have to say that the only thing that may hold you back from admission is your GRE score. Schools typically like to see an average score, which is around a 300. However, if other portions of your application are good then you may have a shot. Just wondering, why GSU?
