Woohoo! It is nice knowing I will be going to grad school somewhere!

You seem to be pretty familiar with their program? Do you know if they accept only the amount they intend on taking or if they over accept because they know some will turn it down? Also do they often use there wait list?

I attend Ohio University as an non-traditional student. I believe that they accept the first amount of people that are on the top of their list...and then, if people deny, they accept people on the waitlist. Don't quote me on that!

Congrats! Will you be attending? I was just recently accepted as well!

yeah I heard of a lot of people who interviewed with them in November. I heard that they do multiple rounds of interviews so I'm assuming the second and/or third round will be coming up this month or next month. I'm just being so impatient!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but in late November we were the third round and the student with my group told us we were the final group. He said that sometimes they do a small one later on if they don't manage to fill the class

I don't know anymore than what he said

Thanks! Congrats to you as well! I'm still waiting to hear from Sage before I make a decision. Sage would be the most affordable program for me and I live nearby so it would be an easy transition. Thankfully NYMC doesn't have a deadline to submit a deposit so I have time to figure things out. Will you be going there?

Very excited to be offered a spot at Shenandoah!! I will most likely be sending in my deposit in the next few days. I liked the small class size and the amazing facilities at this school. The faculty all seemed personable and friendly. I had a great interview experience and really enjoyed talking to current students. I like the fact that you are able to do part-time rotations beginning in the first year and, later on, 3 full rotations. I was also drawn to this program for the Performing Arts Medicine Certificate program they offer! Overall, everything seems like a great fit for me.

To everyone on here, thanks for your insight and personal stories. It has helped tremendously throughout this whole process. Best of luck to all!

Kind of off topic, but did you have Tong Wang as a professor during your time at Butler? I graduated as a dance major from UCI and am starting a PT program in May. YAY for dancer PTs!

Congrats on USC!! You can know for sure, now, that you'll start SOMETHING next year 🙂 Do you think you'll attend? I got accepted as well, and am trying to get as much input as I can given how much it costs compared to other programs I've applied to.

Thank you! Congrats to you too! I just sent ya a message 🙂

I've only had one interview in the past. These Washington state schools are really frustrating. I managed to make the UPS alternate list my first try, but nobody was admitted from the alternates that year. Last year, I missed the cutoff for wait listed applicants at UW by one point based on their application scoring system. And I haven't had any luck with Eastern - they don't even provide feedback
so it's hard to see what how I can appeal to them.

It's a bummer for sure, but I'm hoping to hear some better news from the handful of schools that I applied to. I wasn't offered an opportunity to make a contingency plan so I'm probably not going to pursue Northwestern. Were you offered admission?

Nope, WesternU only offered me an interview. I may turn it down though, now that I got accepted to another program that I'd prefer over WU.

I am posting this to give hope to people who had a rough beginning track record in college but turned it all around in hopes to be a PT. I worked my butt off the last 2.5 years to make my dream come true, so can you! I am taking 4 courses currently online to boost my overall GPA since PTCAS murdered my chances. If I get all A's, my overall will be a 3.01, not great but I think my essays and prereqGPA make up for this.

REJECTION

It was sort of last minute addition to my application list, so I'm not too upset. A really good friend of mine told me that he was applying there, so I decided to give it a shot. He got the interview. Admittedly, I certainly didn't give my essays 100%. due to time constraints. I won't let it bum me out. Staying optimistic and prepping for future interviews! Although I am a little concerned that my denied-interview/accepted ratio is tilting away from being in my favor...

I did! For my first two years, he was awesome. Loved his classes. Go dance majors!!
