Currently taking a summer class at a different university from where I did my undergraduate degree. I want to submit my app in june but i have heard that if i submit before i get the grade for my summer class, AACOMAS will NOT do grade replacement since it is at a different school... confirm or deny??
the plan is to put a 0 in the credit line for the first class and then put current for the second attempt at the class.
Heard many mixed things even from people answering the phones at AACOMAS. hoping that maybe someone recently got some verified information considering the app is opening really soon...
Retaking the two classes this summer will bring my cGPA from 2.98 to a 3.12 and bring my sGPA to a 3.05.
Here's my backstory if helpful... any advice is appreciated!!
During undergrad, I was probably not the wisest with my time management and maturity could have been better. I was also an athlete which took up a lot of time. That, on top of the school already being a tough and competitive (Ivy) kind of rocked my GPA (2.98 cGPA and sGPA just under that). Took the MCAT 2x, got a (7,10,10) 27 the first time and a (10,9,9) 28 the second time. After graduating, I did Drexel's IMS Masters program (special masters program but its all MEDICAL SCHOOL classes.... really tough if your trying to get a good GPA but if you do kill it, it looks great). After all is said and done, that masters GPA will hopefully be 3.25-3.35 after taking one more class next fall.
I have a LOT of clinical experience, research (published), and some volunteering and shadowing (DO and MD).
