i got my call around 1-2 EST, sent in 2 loi's and 1 publication,....the key is to send in info and let them know how strongly you feel..... i have noticed a trend in that those getting off the waitlist constantly send stuff in.....

Hey skitlez,

I received a call from GW at 11:40pm EST...but unfortunately I was at work and my cell phone was on silent. So, they left a message saying to return their call and when I called, they just asked me if I was still interested in their school and immediately offered me a seat. I think they make calls all day long and it could be from anyone...not necessarily Dean McQuail...mine was from Matt in the admissions office.

I was on the upper echelon list and I sent about 4-5 LOIs all together...I think...like every 3 to 4 weeks since I got placed in the waitlist pool around March. Just keep showing interest...I called a lot of times too...they write down your calls...so that shows interest too.

I just got a call from Dean McQuail (10:10 EST) and she told me that I got in... I think I am going to cry..

The list is still moving you guys.. Gdubb and Hoya and everyone else.. your calls are coming too..
When she called she mentioned that she noticed that I called in yesterday (to ask about the waitlist) and sent a letter yesterday- the letter I sent described myself personally- what I had done in my spare time this year (building a kite with a trailing tail of LEDs with some friends etc), what made me unique, a statement my interviewer made that really made an impression on me- It was a letter very different from the ones I wrote before, I am not sure if thats what did it.. but keep sending in your letters...

I hope to see everyone there next year... gdubb, hoya, sam, mary, idaho, MD Rapper, athenacluster, spin, jigga and anyone else I may have missed (I am sure I missed a bunch) or who is reading this anonymously.. I am so glad that I had you guys on sdn.. reading your posts made me very happy.. and i have a good feeling you guys will get in.. and that would be such an awesome class..
