I'm going off of last year's thread...it seemed like the date given was right when acceptances started to come out so the 21st may be when the first acceptances hear

Based on last year's thread, mudphuds get the phone call first.

This is followed by accepted people's financial aid message changing from "Login failed" to "This information is not yet available. Contact the office."

So if the bug in the financial aid website still exists, then the website is pretty much worthless until some mudphud gets the phone call and reports his/her financial aid message.

Nothing was supposed to come out yesterday, right? Rejections only go out next week, slightly ahead of acceptances, or so I surmised from previous posts. I haven't checked my mailbox today...****...

Don't worry, there's no news. If someone ends up able to log into the financial aid webpage, then this thread will explode like a pinata at a little league player's birthday party. The general consensus seems to be that stuff won't be sent out until next week. Good luck

I'm with you. I alternate between waves of bitter despair and faint glimmers of silly optimism. The universe will probably explode if I get into Harvard. I want it so bad... but I know that there's just no way. I really loved that darn school... but, but, but... it's just not meant to be.

Aww... I'm sorry. I was trying (in an idiotic yet pretentious way) to say that it's good to keep hoping, even though it really, really hurts to hope for things that may seem impossible. I can relate when you say that the whole thing is confusing, infuriating, and nauseating, but everything will work out in the end. Sorry again if I made things worse. I meant well, really.

I think that Harvard should have sent out decisions way earlier... or they should have at least given us all a better prediction of how long it would take. The MSAR says that they were supposed to start at the very end of February and their webpage used to say that they'd send out everything in the beginning of March.

lol, it's funny how many people seem to be checking this financial aid webpage. Am I the only one who has decided that if this trick actually somehow still works this year (despite their fixing it last year), this thread will blow up as soon as it starts working and I therefore don't need to check until it does? Just something to think about.

I know this is going to start uneccessary panic, but I thought I'd throw it out there . . .

I tried to login and got the usual "login failed" but another webpage popped up that said "my financial aid page" or something at the top. I got confused since this was never described in the thread and closed the window and tried again. I have not gotten the page to appear again and I really don't know what happened because I didnt read it closely.

I'm sure it means nothing seeing as it wont happen anymore, but it got me a little excited and curious.

99% of MD-PhD applicants will hear in March (good or bad) as well...

Yeah, I see the big crimson link to "My HMS Financial Aid Application" at the top right corner (next to the black and white picture of the school)... before I even log in.

I think (ihopeihopeihopeihope) they just updated the webpage and that's all.

Oh my goodness, whew haha. I saw that My HMS Financial Aid link but I haven't been obsessively checking that page lately so I didn't recognize it as being something new. Thanks for clearing that up!

Meaning, I hit submit, my login failed and a completely different window opened in addition to the regular website. I still dont think it means anything and I think I'm the last person that would get in to harvard . . . so maybe thats an indicator of rejection.

Well, for it to be able to send any email to you...it has to have your email address in its database, right? I dunno, I just thought that there might be a *new* loophole we have to search for this year...

I sure don't have the cahones to try emailing them... Not yet. I mean, they can't reject me for ever-so-innocently wondering if I could start working on their financial aid paperwork just in case I'm accepted. Could they? Oh, I don't see this ending well.

This is the same thing as getting the "Login failed" message. I highly doubt that they've put the accepted applicants into the system yet, so I bet that everyone is going to get that message.
