Just read on CNN.com that Harvard and MIT are going to join forces. This might be good but could you imagine how much it could cost? Are they going to double class size or what? Said it wont be till 2010 but still this could change a lot.

of course this isn't true. with that said, i think mit and harvard are practically one school anyway.

ain't a joke if its true:

http://hst.mit.edu/

but that's nothing new. No MIT med school, and there won't be, but OP didn't really say anything about that.

Its april 1st. Don't believe anything in the news.

I thought Harvard and MIT was already basically one school =P

So if they combine are they going to call it Harvit or Mivard?

yes i know MIT is an abbreviation...

I vote for Mivard, sounds more tacky

the article said mass. institute of harvard

oh crap... I didn't realize how serious this was...

Now it's only a matter of time before CalTech merges with Stanford to become California Institute of Stanford.

Will there be a trans to go with that?

I kill me.

LMAO:laugh:

I hear the school will get saturated too quickly with identical applicants to matter

I've also heard of lame post merging with even lamer faux holiday. Wonders never cease, huh?

isn't the harvard-mit hst program the same as caltech-ucla mstp OR ucsf-berkeley joint masters program? i don't see how this would make them the same school.
