My organization is asking me to wait another couple of weeks to renew my contract as they say the new 2026 MGMA data will be out by then. They are going to base my $/wRVU compensation on this. In your experience, has the $/wRVU gone up or gone down in 2026 compared to last year? I am anxious to know if my pay will be going up or down. Thank you in advance for your input.

Dependent on your employer/group tbh.
If CMS updates the wRVU weight for common E&M codes, a physician might suddenly generate more wRVUs for doing the exact same amount of work but the employers sometimes decrease the $/wRVU payout rate so that the physician's total take-home pay remains relatively flat, despite their wRVU total being artificially higher on paper.

Thank you. Just to get an idea, are most of you community oncology docs seeing higher pay or the same or lower pay over the past 2-3 years? Most jobs get a marginal annual salary raise to account for COL, which physicians don't seem to get in general and I don't understand why.
