Doing not so great in a CS course. So what did I do? I spent my ENTIRE spring break studying for an exam, my score? an 88. Normally, I'd be happy with an 88. The average class score on this exam??? a 93! (this is no where indicative of the first exam, the first exam average was much lower). So that 88 of course places me on the very rung of the class (even after studying over spring break), and since the professor curves UP, my situation hasnt really improved (actually it got worse) blah haha!

Just curious, because I dont know if this says anything about my academic ability, or just the sheer genius of my classmates.. but its a usual pattern in my CS classes. Since I'm a sophmore, anyone think I should perhaps move my major? (I have some schedule flexibility after this year to rearrange some classes so my toughest CS courses can be taken my last year <when I'm hopefully interviewing and I wont have to put it down on my applications>) Downside if I switch majors is umm... well its like putting me back at sophmore year again (time wise) and will take me 3 - 4 more years to graduate bah!

I spent my entire spring break studying for a P Chem exam. The result...57% (C+). First exam grade...24% (D). You're not doing too poorly. You can always think of me when you feel you are a failure. :(

Tobtolip, I feel your pain. I went through the same thing....could never seem to get that elusive "class average" on exams....I did switch majors and stayed an extra year for my undergrad degree...was it worth it? *shrug* Not sure yet. Depends on if I get into med school! :D
