Has your interviewer called you?

Specifically to those of you who interviewed at Cincinnati - I got my acceptance in the mail today, and there was also a message on my machine from the doc that interviewed me. He was asking me to call him if I got a chance. I'm thinking it may just be a congrats on the acceptance and perhaps another attempt to sell the school to me. But has this happened to anyone else???

By the way, he also sounded somewhat uncomfortable on the message. Certainly less comfortable than in the interview.

Also, those of you at UC, are all the med center phone numbers 558-XXXX? He only gave me the area code and the last 4 digits of the number to call him back.

He probably just wanted to let you know about the mixup in paperwork that caused you to accidentally receive an acceptance letter. That would explain his discomfort on the phone. Personally, I wouldn't call back. Don't give him a chance to take away your acceptance.

The faculty interviewer called me after he found out I had been accepted. I can't remember, but I think someone else, a while back, posted they recieved a phone call from an interviewer as well.

Didn't give me any sales pitches, just to congratulate me--thats all

I think that just calling to congratulate is a sales pitch in itself: it makes the school look like it cares about its students, plus gives a good impression of the student and faculty relations. I would be impressed! Congratulations.

I got accepted and all I got from my interviewer was a stinking email...oh wait! <img src="graemlins/laughy.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughy]" />

Chill he's just calling to congratulate you.

Yes, the phone numbers start with 558.

I only interviewed 2 weeks ago. My stats aren't really up to par. Does UC call to obtain more info or to let you know about being placed on an alternate list or to reject you?

Any info would be sooooo much appreciated. I wish I would have been home to get the call.

UC does not under normal circumstances call applicants and give them their status. The norm is to first update the webpage and to send it out in the mail.
