Have some questions about D.O. schools

Someone PM me, I want to gain a better understanding of D.O. schools and advantages and disadvantages from someone who will have an unbiased opinion.

Sounds like someone got an MCAT back and didn't like their score. Why not just browse around this forum for a few weeks. Gain all the info you can and if you have questions, come back and ask.

No. Most of the people that make posts like yours are anti-DO with a passion and then they end up getting a 25 on the MCAT and realize they aren't competitive forr MD schools and they come on here asking a bunch of stupid questions about DOs compared to MDs saying that now they don't care about the letters, they just want to be a doctor.

You can always telll who they are because they ask questions that can be easily answered by browsing around the archived threads. I suspect your questions will be similar in nature.

Well I am no studentdoc super hero, so I have no desire to bash or brag about D.O. I want to become a doctor not a pre-med expert. And for the record I have not gotten my MCAT back yet, should be next week.

Well than good luck. I am not saying that you are doing this. I am saying your post follows the same general structure. If the questions can't be easily found, just ask them here so you can get input from multiple people instead of one who may actually be biased regardless of you asking for someone who wasn't. There are plenty of unbiased people on the forums.

I think the OP just wanted an unbiased opinion without any PC fluff. I'm a 3rd year student and I'll answer any questions honestly. Just ask.

Why not take the initiative and PM someone who's already a medical student on these forums? There's a few lurking about, no need to start a new thread.

Also, do your own research. It will serve you well in the future. No one's gonna spoon feed you or hold your hand through medical school.

If you have general questions you should ask them in the forum. SDN isn't here so *YOU* can get answers, it is supposed to be for everyone. If you have a question, chances are someone else wants to know (or will want to know) the answer also. That's the whole point of posting things publicly.
