Have you ever seen someone die? (kind of Sad, so read tomo)

old woman died during my EMT shift in an ambulance, she was DNR, i was not particulary 'sad', i was a bit shocked rather, i can't quite describe it, its really an odd feeling knowing that this was a human being, had a family, friends, and a story of her own

but at the same time, not knowing her personally, i think kept me from feeling all that sadness...also there was the DNR

I agree, I always have to think about what was that person thinking right before he/she died.
