Have you ever thought dead?

If that's just "tongue in cheek" talk, then I feel you. If it's literal, I suggest you find someone to talk to, professional or otherwise. Hang in there...🙂
As coward as i am right now, i rather die if i cannot get into schools!
There are too many pressures on me. I feel like i cant breath
Stop crying and man the hell up. If you a girl... feel better...

👎rolleyes:
if you are seriously having suicidal thoughts, please get help soon.
that being said, i can understand some of the immense pressure you are experiencing. when i was going through the admissions process, i thought that if i didn't get it, i would be seen as a failure and ridiculed by many. i knew people would laugh at me, etc. etc. i also thought that i just HAD to get in (considering my poor-college-kid-with-no-real-backup-plan-to-dentistry financial status and not wanting to go into research). i had a big fear and thought if i didn't get in, then i'd end up as a lab rat somewhere (in a horrible lab and being underpaid and hating it and none of my experiments turning out right).
admissions process was probably one of the most stressful things i have gone through in my life so far and i've gone through some pretty stressful things before (no one criticize this statement please. don't do it.).
it aggravated me when people thought getting into dschool was easy or everybody gets in, etc. they don't understand that basically my ENTIRE life was riding on this.
whew, i'm just glad its past me. i can breath now.
hang in their buddy.

It's tough getting pressure from Asian parents but freakin' man it up and you're probably still young. It takes a lot of people more than 2 times to get in.

Ah yes. Perhaps the strongest legacy that Confucius left behind for Orientals is the high (almost fanatic) regard for academic achievement, particularly in math/sciences/engineering. Those of you at U of California, UBC, U of Toronto, U of Waterloo would know this better than anyone.

everyone does, but you are mature enough to control yourself.
A whole lot of pressure, I feel that. But you need to enjoy the ride as crazy as that may sound. Good luck to you.
TALK to me when you doctor...rofl

hey, i can feel your pain. I want to apply for the next cycle like you, but I may not be able to do that... so good luck!
Your stats are pretty good. There's a good amount of us that have lower stats than you.......

I wonder why people feel pressure. What pressure is there? Do good in school, do what you need to get into D-school and apply. If you have everything in order and you didnt screw up somewhere, then you will probably get in. If you dont, then oh well, try again.
Doing well in school is pretty easy, your grades are directly proportional to the amount of work you put into it.
Im probably biased tho, Im going to school while working at a job making 70k a year. If I dont get in, then I have a back up plan till next the cycle.

Sure, but some schools are inherently more difficult than others due to harsh curves, grade deflation, and competitive student bodies. At these schools (MIT, Princeton, Berkeley in particular), one can study for hours just for a B. Unless you are ridiculously smart (which most of the students are at these schools), school is not easy.

Study longer, work harder. The only thing keeping you from getting an A is yourself.

Although in general, I would agree with you, there comes a time when you move upwards, towards the top of the heap of academic institutions, where the competition and what the faculty expect from you makes your statement less true. At the highest levels of academia, there isn't enough hours in the day to compensate for someone else's superior intellect. At least, this is what I have experienced and believe. Going from the military (Where I was Albert Frig'n Einstein), to Berkeley, (Where I was just an average Joe), to UCSF (Where I'm kind of a *****).

Interesting choice of schools. Which one did you attend?
everyone always thinks their school is the hardest.
give it a break
He meant the schools with a lot of A Z N, I think. Funny assumption you made there, considering you go to a school that no one has ever heard of.Interesting choice of schools. Which one did you attend?

Come now guys... the OP is considering suicide... maybe we can pet our egos in a different thread? He meant the schools with a lot of A Z N, I think. Funny assumption you made there, considering you go to a school that no one has ever heard of.
You never know what's serious and what isn't, but OP, you really should look for some help in the non-internet world.

Are you about to make the argument that your school is harder than everyone else's?
