There are a few programs in Neurology which ERAS lets you apply to as categorical or/and advanced. If you choose categorical and advanced, does it charge you like it is two programs?

no.
i did this on several programs and was concerned about the same thing (however at the end of the day I'd rather pay more $$ now, and have better odds of getting interviews and a residency).
Good luck!!

Answer is nope!!

Be aware that there are some programs that are listed as advanced on ERAS, but are basically categorical. Rush in Chicago is an example. They guarantee you a prelim spot there, but you have to apply to Internal medicine separately. Just wanted to throw that out there if people didn't know that.

Good luck everyone.
