Actually no. Doc E barely said anything about my play style. That was shorty he got really went in on. Remember how I got **** for not defending her?
I thought he switched over to you after Shorty subbed out but maybe I'm remembering incorrectly.
No. I’m a vegetarian and can’t relate.
That is a shame because oysters are delicious.

Maybe they will one day have impoysters (impossible oysters // oyster imposters) and I can go full vegetarian.
Nope. Wrong again. I said I would rather look for wolves independent of your “kill me statement” IF you were a villager.
You keep harping on the "IF" part but are failing to remind people you left out the "IF" the second time you said it.

I'm on my phone or else I would quote it. Regardless I encourage people to go read that entire exchange for themselves for accurate interpretation.

Oh and all the people “side eyeing” being surprised at the Bob choice, I was being very sincere. I thought it was a stupid choice. But that was with not seeing the “soft reveal” that we still don’t know because flips don’t include abilities.

I volunteer to die early, btw. Just throwing that out there to any humanitarian wolves.

Not sure why people are trying to push a Bob vs Dubz yeet when I have already offered myself as tribute

Well if you’re village in more interested in finding a wolf.

Right but still would rather yeet a wolf. It’s a numbers game.

What gives you the impression I'm town?

....and there it is again...

Well but then you said you'd "still rather yeet a wolf."

There's an underlying implication there.

this is the exact sequence Pippy. So yes you are manufacturing shade. IF was in my first post.

I re-read this and it sounds kinda harsh so I should probably clarify that I'm saying this to tease Mel because I'm happy he's back

Friendly teasing = #NotAPocket
I'm pretty sure Mel enjoys this ribbing of what a legendary nemesis he is as a form of flirting. Or I'm projecting. Nah, pretty sure he likes it.

Wait, is this accurate? Flips don't include PRs?

@Zenge142 are you secretly silenced even though there is no silencer in this game?

You are lurking like woah.
Reading the thread, but I don’t really have anything to add since my last post. The majority of the roster either hasn’t posted at all today or has posted very little. It’s mostly just been you, Sunny, and Cray, who I’m all village reading. None of any of your latest posts have changed that.

@Crayola227 @sunshinefl are either of you going to vote?
Well, currently WZ, April, and sporty are my biggest concerns. But that seems unfair to vote 1 of them when I still have bread and mkg as only absent, and alley as absent plus 1 weird post

Yesterday you made a post saying how you thought I was probably a vanillager because of how I was asking to die early, and that you thought wolves wouldn't waste a kill on that.

As I just told Sunshine, villagers typically aren't spending a lot of brain real estate trying to triage hypothetical kill orders based on likelihood of a power role.

I also think you in particular would be someone who might look at me asking "be kind, euthanize" and go "naaaahhh not strategically useful" and stamp ~Request Denied~ all over my file.

You're welcome to try to convince me otherwise but I'd like to see you get a little heat today in addition to that group of 3 I just mentioned.
I’m caught between three opposing thoughts :dead:

1. I’m sketched out that cray just claimed she never picks up on PR hints (referring to wolves apparently having interpreted Bob’s comments as a soft claim. I also didn’t pick up on it but in hindsight it was probably pretty obvious if you were coming at things in even a remotely role-solving kind of mindset) when she read you as a vanillager for your kill request. I know they’re not exactly the same thing, but both use similar perceptive skills and demand a PR hunting mindset. This feels like W/V cray/pippy.

2. The last couple paragraphs feel like pippy is simultaneously setting up an excuse for not getting NKed in the future and setting cray up for suspicion based on it. This feels like V/W cray/pippy

3. overall cray and pippy have both felt pretty villagey

And as a follow up...

This comment feels rather disingenuous considering you were playing the "vanilla or not vanilla" game yesterday with regards to my role, and are apparently considering whether you "said something" that would suggest Bob was the vigilante.

I don't even know what you could possibly be referencing with that latter bit or why you think wolves would be under the impression you would know someone else's power role on D1, so it looks like you are just making another flavor "ohHh nOoOo, dearest bob!" comment yourself.
Ah I see pippy already pointed that incongruity out. I meant to add to my last post that it feels particularly incongruous because I feel like it demands more PR hunting effort to read pippy as a vanillager for a sincere-sounding plea for death than it would to pick up on Bob saying something that sounds like a softclaim.

...why is it unfair, exactly?

Let the mods worry about the ghosts
Unfair because I could vote for my most sus of the 9 players I have any kind of read on, but that’s not the whole pool of 12 live players left outside of me.

And since there are only 3 wolves, there is a chance that all 3 are in my “absent” group and I could be trying to vote from a pool of all villagers.

We have 26 hours so I would like to see more from mkg, alley, and bread before I vote.

And if you just need a thought on record to judge me, POE: sporty > WZ >> April

@Crayola227 @sunshinefl are either of you going to vote?
I'm quite distracted waiting for my cat at urgent care (she's not that urgent so it's taking forever) at my friend's house. I'm keeping up on thread with reading new posts and replying, but he's quite chatty so I can't really dig in. I feel I need to re read and parse out how I'm feeling about people, just feels like I don't have a mental consolidation where I know where to place a vote. I feel like I only have a superficial read, and superficially anyone can seem village unless they're howling. I need to fine tooth comb to find those subtle post tells I love so much.

Reads off the cuff (top of my head)

Mayo and Zenge I found both of them guilty yesterday of "stretchy" reasoning. But Zenge is making good points. But he always makes good points. He does feel lurky. Mayo feels even more absent which is concerning.

Alley seems like alley, which doesn't tell much. I often read her village unless she does something obvious. I felt she was making villagey contributions.

Mkg was not a good look with her behavior yesterday and absentish today.

Sus of Sporty. I usually find her hard to read, and quiet, and the sus on me and not much else, and sus on possible low hanging fruit misyeet like alley, all adds to my sus. She did make some points I can't recall that were good I thought though.

Mel feels absent, lurky, pocket-y, he seems to be following more closely than his obvious thread presence might suggest. I don't know if just busy IRL.

Dubz isn't screaming too village to be true, which is concerning, because often when she does she is actually village. Iirc she claimed some IRL stuff.

Pip making some good and not so good points on Sunny, who otherwise just feels like Sunny, which isn't helpful.

Anyone else has been too quiet to come to my mind without a reminder or the roster, which is disappointing.

So this isn't where I feel comfortable with a vote. My plan as per usual is to dig in tonight when everyone at my house is asleep (Cessna and cats), and waking up to my vote should be early enough to help village. I'm sorry I don't feel I can do more earlier but such is life when I've got cat worries and a distracting friend on the brain rn.

If I was wolf I would have already voted rn, that's WIFOM I know but true anyway.

But so what? Your vote isn't locked in.

We just went over this last game.

It's heckin wolfy to hold your vote. Smacks of waiting to see where the wind will blow.

I don't quite know how to explain, and I wish Cyndia was here to back up how good she is at PR hunting as a wolf, and how in pack chat I kept saying "wow how did you catch so and so said/did that!" I bet @alleycat03 and @Zenge142 can back me up that repeatedly in pack chat I have said "OK guys, now we want to look for clues to PRs, but I'm not gonna catch any villager hints!" And the responsibility for actually figuring that out fell to them.

When I said the last part, saying I wonder who would have considered the PR hunting stuff and might have seen a soft claim, I mean who are wolves smart enough to see that stuff. It's not me. I can't list who is dumb this way like I am, as I can say who is decent at it. Mel, Pip, Alley, Zenge, from what I can tell have decent PR soft claim pick up skills. I was saying we should look at people like that because Cheezit made a decent point that Bob's kill might make sense as there might have been reasons they they he was a PR.

Bob was asking who was elected, and SOMEONE ELSE saw that and pointed it out saying "Why, you planning a NK wolfy?" And I piggybacked on that saying that maybe it wasn't a wolfy kill he was trying to plan. So I would hardly give myself credit for picking up a soft *that didn't already have attention*.

I don't catch on *when villagers are hinting on open thread* their roles.

If you are begging for death, and I conclude you must either be a wolf sowing WIFOM, or a villager who doesn't have a PR, I don't see that the same as them making a purposeful soft claim and me catching onto that.
Hm I’ll accede your point that it is a different skill (more deductive reasoning, less paying attention to exact wording), and also I misremembered what you said (forgot you said you were reading it as vanillager *or* wolf WIFOM) and just kind of took Pippy’s word (for some dumb reason, considering I very often find things Pippy’s said even as a villager to be quite misleading and perceive her as twisting people’s words.)

I do still think it indicates a PR-hinting mindset, although less so since it’s also coming from a wolfhunting place of “if Pippy were wolf, is there a reason she would make this comment?”

I’m kind of perplexed by you a) picking up on something that totally could have been a village PR hint, but was subtle and would definitely require that kind of mindset to see b) hinting it on thread (why), and c) bringing it up when it seems the rest of us didn’t notice or forgot. A and b feel wolfy, c does not feel like something a wolf in your position would do.

But so what? Your vote isn't locked in.

Bro there are almost 26 hours to go, 3 whole people have voted, and like 5 whole people are posting.

And I put my ranked POE down on the record so I’m not just “waiting to see which way the wind blows” so maybe focus on the like 10 people who aren’t posting at all for me to even form thoughts on them.

I forgot April, and not because she hasn't posted. She's been striking me village which is partly why she probably didn't stick out in my mind, sus tends to make me more focused on people. Sunny's POE made me think of her again.

I meant to say Pip has been frustrating me, and the WIFOM she sowed asking for death was awful if she's village. But she's very hard for me to read.

Free shrugs. Village loses when people don't vote.

I don't see why you can type all this wishy wash but can't type "vote mayo".

Z had made literally 1 post today at this point. Which is making me wonder if they could be packmates and she’s trying to slowly change public opinion on zenge. This is definitely a post wild alley would make about a packmate. Makes me kinda side eye both of them.
How do you feel about their interaction in the posts just before this one?

My focus on Pip's comment absolutely had to do with thinking it might be wolfy WIFOM, and what makes anything a wolf says specifically WIFOM and not just a wolf tell, is that the comment forces you to consider they might be village, if that makes sense. That's what led me there. It followed from Pip saying "oh gee wouldn't the wolves kill me if I asked" and it's like, let's really think about, do wolves like to do what villagers ask them to do? Because WIFOM goes both ways and wolves have to consider that. Which means we need to as well.

But it also has to do with more related to LIS-rule analysis for me, which is when someone seemingly wants to die, how do you read and react to that?

I have a rule, so that helps me think about the situation.

Bob's comment about life saving made me squint, it was weird, but as a noob he says lots of weird stuff. I think it was Mel called it out like "maybe you're a wolf planning a NK!" And here's the thing, whenever someone says something being AI, I consider if it could be true the other way round, like why might a villager say this?

I'm saying while I do this analysis about Aff, rarely does it ever lead me to finding a soft claim.

Remember Bioshock? AM said on thread that Dina the seer was soft claiming to hard clear all over the place! I was foaming at the mouth ISOing Dina to figure out which villagers she'd cleared. I needed a villager to tell me that! I've said in past games when I have flipped village how hard soft claims are for me.

In any case though, I'm not totally stupid so if someone points something out (Dina soft claimed per AM, Mel was saying a wolf might ask who was elected) I might be able to run with it.

I'm not saying I'm too dumb to consider if a wolf or villager might say something, and that might make me guess at a PR down the line. It's specifically villager softs I have issue with. It's a fine distinction. Doesn't matter because if I were wolf I would have a pack and would def sic them on thread to look for softs.

So really the only point I've proved isn't that I'm village, that's fine. I'm saying no matter what Aff you think I am, if you think there's a master PR hunter out there picking up soft claims, look for players good at that. If you're gonna use NKA.

I'm happy to focus on other points. Sadly in my current situation talking about my own thoughts in reply is easier than analyzing others ftm besides what reads I gave earlier.

Bob started reading frustrated villager as the votes piled up. I still wanted bread to show up and answer my question from yesterday (he made a comment about Mayo v Zenge very early that’s didn’t sit well with me), so I went there. It was annoying he didn’t show up so I flipped to Genny because I didn’t want bob lynched after this line:

I straight up thought bob was soft claiming doctor here, and apparently so did the wolves.

Hard side eye at Dubz (and to a lesser extent anyone else) going “OMG Why did they kill BOB?!?!?” What he said was not subtle. That combined with her first post today (it reads like a very obvious “Look at me I’m so town because I’m asking the obvious question”) don’t make me feel good about her.
I didn't even see that post Mel, so try again

Good to know you picked up on it though!

Iirc she claimed some IRL stuff.
Did she? I was about to say “there’s way too much lip service to voting Dubz and not enough actual voting going on.” and throw one down on her, but if she’s got out-of-game reasons for seeming less involved and invested in wolfhunting then I don’t want to go there yet

I skimmed a bit, will catch more thoroughly later or tomorrow. But saw the question of why I wanted to hear from the late voters - it's because there was a sudden swing to genny without much if any reasoning posted at the time, so I wanted to know why it happened.

Well bread was visiting me and now I'm visiting sporty. I was driving for 8 hours today. So would appreciate if thoughts on my affiliation could be based on my posts when I'm here and not just on me being "less involved".

I have to go back and reread some stuff but it concerned me a bit (yes I was thinking about things as I was driving) that alley and April are reading zenge oppositely, unless that has changed today.

Also was a bit weirded out that zenge posted the exact reasoning that I thought wolves might use to try to clear people in the last minute wafflefest. So a bit of hmmm at that.

But now seeing wolves may have picked up on a doctor soft (no way to confirm it) I'm not so sure that even trying to do that kind of NKA is useful.

Damn, sorry about the 8 hours of driving 😵

Less involved the tone/content, not quantity, of your posts feels like you’re less invested in wolfhunting. But that can also be rxplained by being distracted by IRL visits, so meh.

Basically the same thoughts I had. I thought the NK was to get village bogged down in some WIFOM bs argument and that wolves may want to steer it towards one particular WIFOMy conclusion, so Z’s post was worrying me about him and Mel. But I feel like at least one wolf would have picked up on Bob’s possible softclaim of doctor and/or cray pointing out something that could hint he was vig, so it was probably just a straightforward “obliterate the most likely PR” kill

Concerned how?
Concerned about a wolf among the three, or maybe even just between April/alley, not 100% sure. I have a hard time believing that two people who have wolfed with him so recently would reach exact opposite conclusions about him here. Just feels funky.

It wasn't too bad 🙂

I think some of it too was that I felt like I was on a good vote yesterday. Even knowing genny said she was intentionally changing her tone, it was really odd to me that she never moved off of you, especially when she seemed to be more suspicious of zenge.

So I kind of sat back and was having a bit more fun when I popped in because I was comfy with my vote.

How do you feel about their interaction in the posts just before this one?
I don’t recall an interaction, so let me look.

My thoughts on your affiliation are entirely based on your existence here.
