It's not hard with the answer key in front of you

Honestly I do NOT believe there are that many people who can get above 35 on the tests as it appears in this thread! Come on if getting 35 is that easy, it will not be 35 anymore and it will be 25!

Well, going through the Kaplan booklets have taught me one thing. It is not necessary to know everything about subjects but you have to be familiar enough with the material to help with the conceptual nature of MCAT questions.

That is to say that familiarity breeds comfort and comfort allows for confidence and life is all about confidence.

Sekem, this is an extremely small sampling of the thousands of people who will be taking the MCAT this year. For every 30+ or 40+ score you see here, you'll see at least 2 10+s and 4 20+s. That's why you can't rely too heavily on this site. You'll forget all about the big picture; the people on here represent a pixel of it.

Exactly - SDN represents a very small subset of the actual population that takes the MCAT and it is most definitely not representative of the general MCAT population.

I'm not surprised to see so many high scores here. I think the people who choose to spend time here and learn as much as possible about getting into med school are also the people who are likely to do well on the MCAT.

Just my hypothesis ...

What's been your highest practice score on a full-length test thus far?
Less than 24
24-27
28-31
32-35
Higher than 35

32 AAMC 3R
30 Kaplan FL #2

Hopefully a bit higher with three more Kaplan tests these next three weeks, but for now I voted 32-35 (barely 😳 )

I got a 32 on AAMC 5R: PS11, VR10, BS11. That was my second full length; I first took AAMC 4R and got 27 with 9's on all sections. I really hope that first test was just a warm-up fluke.

Yeah there are some insane scorers around here. Where do you guys plan on going to school?!?

I'm going to apply EDP to my state school - it's a five minute drive from my house and the in-state tuition is great! 👍 Plus, my DH can't easily relocate his business (and that's what pays all the bills now).

Hopefully it will all work out.

For every person that scores in the 99% (38+) a person scores in the single digits... where are these people that score in single digits ? I find that kind of score more amazing than the 40

The 10-20 crowd is probably partying, smoking up or working at their 40+ hour/wk job.

I found the VR of AAMC 7 very hard as well. I have been getting 10s and 11s on the 101 VR Passages and they are hard. Did other people find the VR section harder than other tests.
My scores so far:
Kaplan diagnostic: 15 (VR 6, BS 5, PS 4)
AAMC 3R: - a few months ago 25 (VR 9, BS 8, PS 8)
AAMC 7: this weekend 28 (VR 9; PS 11, BS 8)
For AAMC 7 they kicked me out of the library since it closes early on Sunday so I went home to take the rest and could not focus anymore. It killed the score. Bio and Orgo was supposed to be my strong point.
going to try AAMC 8 and 9 before the week is over.

Just took AAMC 7 today.

PS 14
VR 10
BS 15

Damn verbal.

That verbal was abnormally hard from what AAMC has given us. I usually score in the 10-11 range as well, more on the 11 side as of late. If I got an 11 in VR or gotten one more question in PS, I woulda broken that elusive 40. C'est la vie.

I thought Teera was a guy too, but I didn't want to bust out with that and be wrong. I thought Shanster was a guy until recently 😳
