How bad does an F in computer science look?

My pcat is 70 and the rest of my science and math courses are A's and B's. total Gpa is around 3.1ish. Im planning to retake it during the summer but i was wondering if the F would make my chance non-existent..

I know but the thing is im applying right now for fall of next year and the F was just posted on my transcript.

Yeah it'll hurt your cumulative GPA, but look on the bright side: it won't affect your pre-req GPA. Like kcha90 mentioned, you're just going to have to explain why you got an F.

i doubt they will ask you why you did so poorly on a non bio/chem class. i had D's and F's across the board in almost every subject in college! nobody asked me about it 😀
