I just took the Pearson Practice Test 2 and i BOMBED the QA section. I don't understand how I'm supposed to do most of the problems quickly? I know most of the concepts, but there are some problems where I can't even be able to round properly because the difference in values! Any tips would be highly appreciated!

I ended up doing better than anticipated on the QA. Only advice I can give you is to be honest with yourself and with what you know. Do the question you feel comfortable first and then come back to the ones in blank. Leave the word problems last and just go through the algebra(subject I knew best) first. Be sure to at least chose an answer to the ones you are skipping because its possible you might not have enough time to go back. That's what I did and even ended up guessing on like 7 questions because I ran out of time. My QA came out to be a 85. Much better than what I expected.

I felt QA was one of the hardest sections 🙁

For me, it helped to try and find shortcuts wherever possible (cancelling in fractions, etc) - to simplify things as much as possible beforehand. I played my strengths and answered all questions on concepts I was strongest in, leaving things like calculus (eek, derivatives and integrals) for later. Ended up approximating for those and flagging it to go back to at a later time.

Do the pearson practice tests and go over EVERY PROBLEM. see how the PCAT did it - sometimes their method was a LOT easier then the method I chose.

Best of luck on your PCAT! 🙂
