I want to withdraw for interviews scheduled in less then a week
I want to withdraw for interviews scheduled in less then a week
let's say someone withdraws from an interview the day before or two days before. Is there any communication between schools that could potentially hurt the applicant?
Dear (School),
Thank you for your interest in me as a candidate for matriculation at your medical school. I have submitted secondary applications to several schools, and endeavored to evaluate each with the utmost care and consideration. It is with great disappointment that I inform you that I will not be selecting you as the medical school I will attend.
Please understand that this is not a reflection of you as a school, but rather the quality and competitiveness of the group of schools to which I have applied. I wish you every success in your future efforts.
Sincerely,
You.
EDIT: Oh, shiznit. Less than a week? Call tomorrow morning, be honest, but more importantly, be apologetic.

wow, did you edit your original post or did I just not really read what you wrote? either way, as everyone said, call and apologetically withdraw.
OP, you don't happen to be (or was) applying to UMich are you? For those of you who don't know, an interviewee canceled the Monday after and sent Michigan's adcom through the roof with anger. Dude has been singled out in their Twitter multiple times lolhaha. i was basically saying i completely misread your original post or just didn't read it at all and answered based on the thread title
