Having read the guy's name only in print I am a little curious as how to say the it properly. Is it goal-jan or goo-li-on? Or maybe neither of those, does anyone know?

It's either GOAL-jan or GOAL-yawn depending on whether you're using the Armenian or Polish pronunciation. Dr. Goljan favors GOAL-yawn, however, others in his family prefer GOAL-jan.

It is funny how after listening to those lectures several times you actually feel like you know the guy personally.

This is so true. It feels as if he is so much among us. He's A W E S O M E.

I concur. My most recent path exam was the first one that I hadn't had time to read much or listen to any Gol-G. It just wasn't the same without him. Since then I've become the biggest Goljan fanboy. 👍

This is correct. He explains this in one of his lectures (GI, I believe).

There you have it, OP. I go with Gol-yan. Think Trevel-yan from Goldeneye, but with emphasis towards the end. He's also of Armenian ancestry, so that screams Gol-yan too.

And yes, he is certainly a deity from another planet who is gracing us lost medical souls with his presence. Praise the Lord Papi.
