How does AMCAS calculate GPA and BCPM?

Is there a specific formula that AMCAS uses to calculate GPA and BCPM? I'd like to create a spreadsheet to figure out what my numbers are, and I'm just wondering if AMCAS does something "special" in addition to the traditional way of figuring out your GPA (meaning, adding up grade scores and dividing by number of classes, etc).

Can anyone supply the formula?

AMCAS is quite straightforward. Nothing funny in the formula. No consideration for repeated coursework. The rules are here, starting on page 41: http://www.aamc.org/students/amcas/2008amcasinstructionsrvs.pdf.
