How many avid runners are in the field of podiatry?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I'd say 10% of my class, including myself, run pretty regularly. Our sports med club has a med tent at the big races in Philly every year.

I did a half marathon in Feb, as well as a triathlon last month. I love running/fitness. A big reason I got into podiatry.

I run at the gym for exercise, but not as a hobby or anything.

I eat lots of food and do almost no exercise!

I run for pleasure/fitness and bc it makes my dog very happy. 😉

You bet! I run three or four days per week in the warmer months, mostly trail miles.

Is your half mary going to be road or trail?

I hope to continue running after school starts as well. I am running 3 half-marathons this summer 🙂

I did a triathlon in 2010 and loved it. Then soon after I ran in 5-fingers for like 5 miles on pavement and got a peroneal tendonitis. I thought my foot was broken. Then I developed ITB syndrome (I think). I haven't been the same ever since until lately. Now I'm running & biking for an hour every other day. This is an important reason for my interest in podiatry.

I've been running in VFF for over three years and never have had any problems. You probably just went too hard too fast when you went minimal. That or you were still heal striking and didn't relearn how to run after the switch. What do to run in now?
