I would like to hear you guys' opinions: If an interviewer asks how many interviews have you gotten so far, and from which schools, do you think it's a good or bad idea to be 100% honest about it and why?

I don't think there's any harm in being honest. I believe honesty is the best policy anyway. You won't have to remember the lie you plan to tell, and your interview will flow better rather than stumbling. Just reiterate that ___ is your number one school choice because ____.

lol one interview asked and I thought it was awkward but I am not about to lie after I spent hundreds to get there.

I told him I had 8 (At the time), and then I said honestly "I have a fear of flying so I think flying to these interviews will be more stressful than the interviews themselves and I talked about why I have a fear of flying" and we laughed about it for a while and had a great conversation of flying and fears lol

One interviewer asked me as well and started writing down the schools it caught me a little off guard but I was honest. Not sure why this is important to them but I made sure to let him know that his school was my top one.

Which school asked this at the interview?

If you have competitive stats and multiple interviews, I always suggest you answer this question with a degree of self confidence. You don't want to be cocky, but a confident answer will look a whole lot better then clamming up and fumbling through a response. You know your worth, you know you'll have options, why should you pick them?

If you aren't competitive, ayyy I might take a softer approach lol.

What if we're not really that competitive but have multiple interviews? What approach shall we use then?
But really, I have answered honestly. If you have other interviews, then you let them know. You've worked damn hard to get them. If you're genuine enough when you tell them you had X interviews, but their school is still number one, it's gotta play to your advantage and be more convincing right?? That's what I tell myself anyway
