A great band with close to the same sound as Evanescence but nowhere near as well known...

The only other woman fronted band that comes to mind is Hole but I dont take you for a Courtney Love fan...

I only know 2 woman fronted bands with evanescence being one of them.

The name of the band is made up of two words, one of the words is related to dieting and addiction.

Darn. I thought it was Binge after I found out they were a Jersey band and you are across the river.

I will have to think about it while I am at work...
 
The band's name is Within Temptations and the song is "Stand my Ground."

Y'know, when I've played 20 questions, proper nouns were not allowed (unless it is unmistakable & unique - like the Grand Canyon). Although I guess since a) there's time to think, b) there's Google, and c) you guys are all really smart 😀, I guess it's not the same as playing on a road trip.

The rules are in post number 1. Proper nouns are fine (here), but its more fun when you stick to stuff everyone might know.
