Self-explanatory title. I have done two mocks, and spend roughly two hours preparing answers to individual school's potential interview questions.

What school? Most are very relaxed so don't stress too much. I was nervous for my first one but it was unbelievably low-stress and now I know they just want to get to know you as a person. The worst thing you can do is freak yourself out and let it show during the conversation

I initially had gone through all the potential questions that could have popped up but didn't go into the details of writing a script for each question. I wanted to feel more natural with my responses, so I just skimmed the questions to highlight the points I wanted to bring up, which I believe helped. I've done 2 interviews so far and have yet to encounter any "what are your strengths/weaknesses?" questions.

An hour just reading over feedback, old posts, and the school's website. Besides one interview where they just grill the applicants the whole time, my hardest question thus far has been "What is the mission statement of our school?" Everyone I talked to that day said they blew that question though, haha

Where'd you get grilled? That sucks, would probably turn me off from that school...

Brb going to memorize some mission statements :naughty:

Definitely turned me off. I got the vibe whenever the dean would come present to our pre-dental club and told myself I wouldn't apply there. What do you know... it was my first interview I received and I was scarred thinking that's how all my other interviews would be. The day after my birthday too 😡

you should have just reminded them you are the great cornholio, and then asked if they're threatening you

I just read about the school. I don't really practice any interview questions since most stories are drawn from my experiences that come and go each day.

I went over the school's possible questions.. there is a link around here somewhere... For my first interview I spent around 20 minutes going over questions.. The next 3 interviews I had I hardly looked at anything.. I have 1 more coming up in a week or so and doubt I will do much to prepare except look at some of the specifics of the school.. If you know why you are there, who you are and your plans - you will be good to go. The hardest question I've faced so far is "tell me about a non-academic time when you dug yourself too deep in a hole and really had to work to get out of it".
