I took the Kaplan class which was 4-5 weeks long. I kept up with the HW and practice tests which took on average around 3 hours a day. Some say you should study for 3 months but I found that I cramed it all in 4 weeks then I would remember it more so then over a long period of time. I did well enough on the DAT and looking back I am glad I took the Kaplan course. Also, I took it in August and wish I would have taken it earlier.
I memorized the flash cards, evry single one.
I made more for the ochem section in the kaplan book and memorized those reactions.
I memorized bio, crashed through chem, PAT came nice, reading I never touched, just some practice test stuff, math...15 🙂
I did the 4 week Kaplan course, did the homework, online stuff, everything I could. Immersed in it for 2 months and took it.
I would also take at least one full length, real deal tests every two weeks, no interuptions at all, like it was test day.
Nail it man, nail it!
Good luck to you.
Does the classroom Kaplan, offer the same online component?
Did you use any other resources at all besides the Kaplan class? Was it the online class or the regular classroom class?
I have heard a lot of people say that the online class is much more worthwhile, just wondering if this is the general consensus.
Think of it as only 1200, thats less than one class costs in undergrad unless your a state school person....
Cheap price to pay in my opinion if it aids you getting into dent school...
