Hey guys! Since a lot of people are getting accepted to more than one program I wanted to ask how you guys will decide on which program to attend. What are the main factors you guys are considering when deciding on a program?

For example:
1. Program’s curriculum
2. MOT vs MSOT vs OTD
3. Location
4. Cost
5. Program ranking
6. Research interests

I’d love to get some insight from current OT students as well!

Hi! I am a first year MSOT student but I struggled with this last year so I know all the feels! I had to decide between 3 schools (1 in my hometown and 2 out of state). I ended up picking the one in my hometown, solely for the reason that it was the cheapest option. I think it depends on your personal preference as to what is most important to you. To me, keeping my cost of student loans down was my biggest factor. Although I am not entirely thrilled with my program, an OT degree is an OT degree and I made the choice to save money. So it'd say its totally up to you!

what are some qualities you dislike about your current program?

What are your guys’ opinions on ranking of the school? Not just in terms of being adequately prepared to pass the certification exam, but does a higher ranked program prepare us better for our jobs after grad?
