Yes, according to the MSAR:

Howard: 90 out of 110 total
Morehouse: 32 out of 52 total

I know nothing about Howard but I do have an asian friend at Morehouse that tells me the school's about 60% black, 25% white and 15% asian. Also, remember that Morehouse School of Medicine is completely independent from Morehouse College.

Hi there,
While the undergraduate population at Howard is majority African-American, the medical school population changes from year to year. In my year, 2002, our class was about 40% African-American or African and 60% other (Middle Eastern, Asian, White and Latino). This has become highly variable (year to year) and I know that the percentage of Middle Eastern and Asian students has been on the increase. (read New Dean).

The biggest hurdle for any non-African or non-African-American is being able to learn and thrive in an environment that caters to an underserved population. While this underserved population is increasingly Latino and Vietnamese in Washington, DC, it is still largely African-American. The school is located in the LeDroit Park area, which is starting to convert to BUPY and YUPY so the neighborhood isn't as bad as it was when I started medical school.

Good luck

Im at howard now and I can tell you that out of our freshman class last year of 125, at least 100 of them were African or of African descent (african american, caribbean etc.), probably more.

Well I can's speak on Moorehouse but when I interviewed at Howard I had never seen so many black folks in my life. I don't know if I can really qualify to give an opinion tho' because to look around and see just one other black student in my class alone is alot. Don't know the specific numbers tho'.

Were the men cute?

Just curious to why you are asking? Are you interested in attending one of these schools?
