This years mcat screening score is 498. Don't apply here if your score is lower than the 498 or else you will receive a pre-secondary rejection. They also switched from p/f grades to letter grades (A,B,C,D,F). Received this information after emailing the admission team.

Good luck everyone applying here this cycle. I spoke to admissions this morning they will be increasing the class size this upcoming year. It is also true that they switched from p/f grades to letter grades. And the mcat screen score is also 498. They did mention that the average mcat for accepted students increased almost around the 509-510 range. It seems they are going for higher stats moving forward, I just hope they give students with low 500s and sub 500s a chance because being there are limited number of hbcu schools and its already hard for us to be admitted to certain schools due to the end of DEI. Like what happened to holistic application review 😭. Good luck everyone!

That is all true! I am a student in the MSMS program, I will also add they are now requiring mandatory attendance as well for every class starting this school year

Damn. Welp morehouse just went from #1 on my school list to all the way to the bottom. Mandatory attendance and graded system just adds more stress to students. Why are they doing this.... my guess is they want to increase their stats and also their ranking

Hello, is it worth it to apply to Morehouse if i have lived in Atlanta for 6 years so far but set my state on AMCAS as Florida?
Yes, its worth applying they take students considered oos all the time. As long as you fit the schools mission and are over the mcat and gpa cutoff you have a good chance

I’m a first year and just wanted to inform yall that you only have to go to class if you have below eighty percent and even then you only have to attend seventy percent of classes
