I have a 3.4 GPA but have a bunch of C's on my transcript (6 or 7 I think), how is that going to look? Is the overall GPA more important or is it more important as to how it got there?

it also depends on your mcat score. if you score really high on your mcat, admission committe will use it to compensate your weak GPA.

I second that. More info please!

I got a 32Q. Don't know if that's high enough...

If everything else is strong, it should be good enough to get you in somewhere. Be sure to apply to plenty... but you have a good shot!

JayKay,
It also depends on what the C's are in, Plus, do you have good experience? We are more than our numbers, you know!
Good luck and keep us posted!

you do have a competitive mcat score. just make sure to explain why you had low GPA etc. i'm sure a 3.4 and 32Q should grant you an interview somewhere. what do you guys think?

I was always told that is depended on what the low grades were in. For example, if you got a C in your first semester of physics, but then got an A in your second semester, this actually will show initiative rather than lack of knowledge.
