I like the MOOSE pressure because I feel like she got panicky at the end of the day and not in a villager way.

Still waiting for @Karabiner13 and @Lupin21 to come back and explain their gameplay yesterday. I like both of them for wolves individually, but I don't think they're both wolves together.

Been waiting around for her to show up all day but that doesn't seem like its happening. I'm fairly certain (will come back with confirmation if/when I find it) I've seen her straight up lurk as a wolf in order to avoid heat. This feels all too much like her wolf play.

ETA: Yupp I found confirmation. In CO, she directly said that she was avoiding thread on purpose while still posting in wolf chat.

Want to explain to the rest of the thread why you decided to only show my wolf lurking/ghosting when you know I do this as a villager? In fact, I lurked in your WWedding game (might even have been under suspicion) and I explicitly stated in my mod pm that I was not going to participate in lynch close because I'd had a busy day and was exhausted. You might also need to recalibrate because CO was before I started my job

Why aren't you using pokemon as an example of wolf me while working? Why did you latch onto CO after Moose mentioned it?

I do, and I understand the possibility that she hasn't been on because of work, which is why thats not the only reason she's setting off my wolfdar. See my posts yesterday.

and its also an hour and a half before lynch. if this sounds cold, but I would want to see at least a quick "hello, busy today, goodbye." post or telling one of her PM partners "Hey I won't be on for lynch" or something.

I would love to know how I was supposed to do the bolded when I had no time to. Real life excuses which are NAI but I was overbooked in surgery, didn't have time for lunch, and left work late. Work policy is not to be on our phones or use work computers for anything other than work. I said in sign-ups that I would not get on in the morning (although will if day off or work the evening), won't be on at lunch, and would only be on a couple hours in the evening (unless that's my evening to close). If you don't like that, then lynch me but it's NAI. If you really don't like it, I'll sub and take it as a sign to retire because life >>> WW now and I refuse to be on ww if I haven't eaten, am exhausted, and need to take care of my dog

And you all can stop with the tags. It wasn't going to bring me to thread any faster. I'm still on D1 essentially so I will have to read and establish thoughts. I'm off today but do have some other things I have to do besides ww today. A couple more things and then I'll try to refresh my reads before I have to be away for one of those things I'm doing today

For N1 I think I was blocked. Hard to know with the wording and the fact I was doing nothing. Possibly wolfy based on wording but I reserve judgement until we know more targets and see if it's being used in a wolfy or village manner. Not a defense, just me stating this so knowledge is shared

I agree with Snowy 110% that more effective village communication is needed, in line with a convo I had with Dubz that part of better villaging was not just correctly identifying wolves, but also persuading other villagers to vote with you.

I will say that AM could work on this. I know I could. I see myself in the reference Snowy makes of a hypothetical control freak player, but I don't always communicate effectively and persuade people to vote with me even when I am right. Today is a case in point about failing with powers of persuasion.

Also, I will say that AM is also right that moving on from v/v is needed, and that's also my weakness.

Last comment though, I will always second AM that the absolute best thing to do like 90% of the time, is to vote your strongest wolf read, every single day, always. There are caveats, sure. I do weird **** like 5 min to deadline that involves trying to break a tie, but much like a self prez vote, some moves are best done last sometimes. Do not try to be like me when it comes to ties or deadline. Do not vote a village read or try to break a tie with even an hour to go (OK, you can try to "break" a tie earlier, but it may not stick. Another reason to vote more with your wolf read than to control the final count. You can control voting for your wolf suspects. You cannot control waffles or wolf votes, or any other votes). It will not work the way you would hope. It's enough time for a wolf to foil your best plans, and at the end of the day, you'll have been manipulated to sit on a damn village read or to pick which villager you'd rather die, rather than the person you actually suspected.

Also, no I don't always follow what I will espouse as good game strategy or WW theory. I'm not saying I'm the best player or I do stuff. Just that I will second good play suggestions even if I don't emulate them. I may speak up about what I think is good game play, that does not mean that I am good at doing it. And there is very little in WW that doesn't have an exception, shade of grey, nuance, caveat. Knowing vs doing, not the same ball of wax. But knowledge is still power.

It was so close all the way through lynch close with self-prezes that were the only reason killer/bryndy won. Looking back the lynch seems similar to the first day or so lynches of both basic games, where it was a villager vs villager lynch and so the wolves had no qualms and could vote wherever they wanted without any worries.

Okay but where do you think they voted specifically in this game. On one of the 4 wagons, off one of the 4 wagons, do you think they instigated the tie and then villagers kept it going, other way around?
I'm trying to get some analysis out of you because that comment you made was very shallow and easy to make. I want to see follow up thought process here.

As for pokemon, I was in the hospital between surgeries so I barely remember what I did much less what anyone else did. I didn't even know you had wolfed in that game until just now.

You're reducing my argument to "Kara is a wolf because she's lurking." which is not the case. As I said to VMH, your lurking could be seen as one of two things and I acknowledge that you might truly be busy. That however is not the main reason I've been on your lynch. Your voting bryndy D1 over the worst reason, and then badgering her into talking enough to look sketchy and attract votes feels exactly like what you did to me in CO to get me lynched.

We also don't know the tie mechanics but from what I'm getting from the write-up, it doesn't make it seem like there was a tie. I'd be interested in having another tie to see what happens. But that with the late self prez attempt makes me curious

I started on bryndi for the lynch yesterday, but some of that was due to only seeing a reply without a quote and misinterpreting it as her not wanting to vote for killer after saying all day she was sketch. I did not like the timing of her vote for killer, but I did not like her explanation after even more. However, she hasn't posted much since so I still have her in wolf lean territory at the moment. I would still like her resolved one way or another so I can move on from my tingly feeling.

Night 2

As night fell, so began the snow as well. With no answers from the doctors, there was unease. Fights broke out during the night, with horses nipping through their stall bars at each other and others still escaping their stalls to be nosy.... or stand by those they held dear.

A lone dun stallion stood outside in the field, away from the chaos indoors. He much preferred being outside at night, where he was best suited. It allowed him the ability to take on threats to his herd and send them back where they came from.

In the distance: the faint sound of hoofbeats. They grew closer until dust rose in the horizon and a large herd descended upon the field. They were regulated, saddled, and controlled by humans.... vile humans, out to destroy.... but it was clear a few of the horses had just as deep bloodlust.

The stallion snorted and challenged his offenders, but he was outnumbered. Ropes fell quickly around his limbs, rendering struggling ineffective. The Kiger mustang was quickly subdued and dragged into the night.

We also don't know the tie mechanics but from what I'm getting from the write-up, it doesn't make it seem like there was a tie. I'd be interested in having another tie to see what happens. But that with the late self prez attempt makes me curious

I broke the first tie over an hour before lynch. Dina cast a killer vote after I did to give her 5. Ski threw down a coffee vote. Lupes then created a new 3-way tie by pulling off killer and going to bryndi. Coffee and bry then came in with self prez votes which created the final killer-bryndi tie. There was plenty of action after my vote, so to imply that I had some sketch form of reasoning on my killer vote is inaccurate.

What actually happened was that I didnt even want to vote D1, because I had no solid leads. But am told thats too sketchy to not vote, or to vote too late. So I picked a player I thought was pretty village (Zig) and cast a vote for someone who was trying to lynch her. That was my best read at the time.

And then this happens just a few minutes later:

why vote for anyone if you don't know at all what's going on. there's still 45 minutes until close.

Well, there's still 45 minutes left if you want to look into the leading candidate and come to a more informed decision.

The frustrating thing for me in trying to learn this game is over and over people say "well you just have to form your own meta, go with you gut, do you what you think is best with the info you have, Take chances, youre going to be wrong a lot." And then I say ok well Im going to do this, and then right away someone will say "oh, well no, you cant do that. Thats way too sketchy." So lets say I just hadnt voted D1...maybe people would have thought that was super sketch and lynched me. But I could have at least explained my reasoning, flipped village, and then people would have realized ok, in this instance what cubs did wasnt actually sketchy, and then maybe remember the next time I made that same decision. Instead, I felt like I had to do something to avoid the sketch reads that I was told would happen, and end up falling under suspicion by kara anyway the next day. I respect all the people that have been playing this game forever, like that huge Cray post above, so i DO try to listen to every piece of advice thats given. But if everything in this game leads to sketch points in one way or another, why not just make a move despite it possibly looking bad. Worst case Im eliminated and start over next game. And whatever I did and how people react to it may actually give people reads on others and how they reacted to the play I made.

Bah, you have to play how you play. Best thing to do is be enjoyable to play with and participate. I am wrong all the time, just comes with the territory. But... I try to be charming while doing it. lol

It was so close all the way through lynch close with self-prezes that were the only reason killer/bryndy won. Looking back the lynch seems similar to the first day or so lynches of both basic games, where it was a villager vs villager lynch and so the wolves had no qualms and could vote wherever they wanted without any worries.

Agree with Snowy for the most part. Why should wolves care who of the four gets lynched if none of them are wolves?
