So guess what? they decided it was time to move us to another room during the exam cause supposedly some lecture was booked in this room. So we had to pack up and walk in the rain😡 O ya wtf is up with math.

Oh, Man! We were in the same room, IIT center, right? That changing room was the most ridiculous thing in my life. People sat side by side to each other. That was really a mess.

on top of that, that lady thought i was cheating. she came over to my desk and wanted me to show her the paper i hid. i was like wtf u talking about. she was like i saw u hid a paper and i was like no then she left😕

it went like this writing then 30 min break then rest of exam 15 min then done
30 minute break huh...well at least the interruption happened earlier and not between science sections.

I strongly recommend you file some sort of complaint about this irregularity i testing. Standardized testing is a big deal in this country, and organizations that have received authority to administer tests have strict rules they're expected to follow. The testing center should never have done this to you, and you should be offered another opportunity to test. If you're planning to apply for ED, this might have been your only shot at getting a score in before your chosen school's cutoff date.

You need to go on record with the testing company and the testing facility as lodging a formal complaint. If you don't then you need to quit whining.

That lady was clearly not the most smartest person in the world. Transfer 100 persons to a room with only 100 seats and let ppl sit side by side for this kind of important exam. This is really ridiculous! I thought about filing a complaint. But what can they do? Give us a free ride for another exam. No, I'm so tired of it. I don't want to waste time on it again.

That's your choice.

Now, in six weeks if your scores come back and they're not as good as you'd like, are you going to complain about the testing environment and blame that for your poor scores? I hope not. You have the option to do something about it now; if you choose not to do something about it, you've given up your privilege to bitch about it.

Allright, so this is rediculous.
We sat down to take our PCAT. 30 minutes into it we are aksed to turn in our booklets and answer sheets, because we have to relocate to another building. What had happened is they double booked the auditorium with young scientists of america club, which were a bunch of screaming children. SO instead of having those kids go to the other facility, they decided that it is wise to relocate the students who are currently taking the test on which their future depends on. Apparently the lady in charge of that kids club called the police on our group, because we were escorted by the police a few blocks down in the rain to another building. Once we got there it turns out that the room is not made to fit such a large volume of students. IF the first room was an auditorium where we had spaces between each other, in this room we sat SHOULDER TO SHOULDER! No elbow room whatsoever. We might as well have been taking a group test, because i am concerned that people were in fact cheating. On top of that, the room could only sit 90 ppl, there were 100 of us. 10 ppl were placed in the left handed chairs even though they were not left handed! This is not the way a professional test should be. Our scores are going to be evaluated in comparison to people who did not have to deal with added stress! I urge all of you who were there to write to harcourt ( I e-mailed them already) and explain your situation, I am sure that focus and concentration were lost and extra stress was added. WHy should we be penalized for something that was not in our control? I have spoken to a few people and we believe that there should be some kind of a letter accompanying those test scores explaining the circumstances of that day. I personally now feel that i should retake this test, even though i was not planning on it. And now the location closest to me is booked and I am forced to travel. I als think that they should in fact refun the money, because i paid to take a standarized test, not to be interrupted in the middle, asked to relocate in the rain by police and sit on top of one another to continue with the test.
I do hope you guys don't just let this be brushed off. These are your rights and something should be done!.

I think that you should be one to lodge a formal complaint to Harcourt. Don't wait for someone else to do it. If you file a formal complaint, they may in fact allow you to re-take the test for free. You never know; but if you don't do something, the opportunity will pass you by. Eelo put it aptly in the above post.

From the PCAT 2007-2008 handbook:

Testing irregularities are problems that occur during a test administration. These irregularities
include, but are not limited to, possible compromises to the test, inappropriate
seating
or timing, defective test materials, disruptions to a test administration (such as a
power loss or a natural disaster), misconduct, examinees misrepresenting identity, unauthorized
access to test contents, receiving or providing assistance of any kind during the
test, failing to comply with test administration regulations or with directions given by
the test administrator or proctor, having prohibited materials in the testing room, removing
test materials from the testing room, creating a disturbance (such as talking during
testing, letting a cell phone ring during testing, or any other action deemed disruptive by
the test center staff ), and violating any other Harcourt Assessment test administration
policy, as described in this Candidate Information Booklet or on the PCAT website.

When a testing irregularity occurs, Harcourt Assessment will examine the situation and
determine whether corrective action is warranted, including non-scoring of Answer
Booklets or cancellation of scores. If Harcourt Assessment offers a retest and the examinee
chooses that option, the examinee must retake the entire examination in order to
produce a valid score. These are the only options available to examinees affected by a
testing irregularity.
