Hey, guys

I am still waiting for schools for interview. I applied 10 schools and I got rejected from Marquette and U penn ( yesterday🙁). I still do not give up but after I read all threads in here, I feel like I have to prepare next plan.

I already took dat twice. and I was gonna take Last one if I dont get into any schools this cycle. However, I am so scared. I am thinking of post-bacc programs too I guess.

Does anyone know any good schools for post bacc programs? if so, any more detail information like application proecessing, etc.


I am really confusing now and scared. Please help me!!!!!!!

Oops, Sorry guys

When I took first DAT AA18 and TS 19 I had really low RC score so I took second one it wasnt improved bc it was really harder than previous DAt.

I got AA18 and TS18 PAT19 but improved score on RC and Math.

My overall GPA is 3.42 and science is 3.58 so far.

and I submitted my application in July, they sent out mine in July 21 and I updated academic in January but when I checked AADSAS, they mailed in February 1.


Im a senior now, I did shadowing 100hrs, volunteer, research.

I don't think your gpa is low enough to require post bac work. Just take the DAT again and nail it.

Is post bacc for improving GPA or to have better stat? bc I really dont know that much about post bacc program.

Im really scared about the last DAT because when I took the second one, it was much harder than first one so if I screw this last DAT, OMg I dont knw.......

your GPA is fine, your DAT is on the lower side, but it isn't terrible, I mean you got AA18 TS18. Out of the 10 schools you applied to, how many interviews did you have? How do you feel the interview went? Did you feel like the interviewer put you on the spot alot?

What was your RC? I believe that some schools (i.e. Loma Linda) are very particular on that score. And if reading/writing is not your strong point your personal statements and seconds may have suffered.

You haven't heard back for interviews because your app was turned in super late. Your DATs are a little below average but your GPA is good. If you were to reapply with the same DAT scores you would probably hear back from the less competitive schools on your list. However if you have a very low RC it could be a deal breaker even with a good DAT and early submission next cycle. I definitely recommend a retake in that case, to bring up your RC and your AA. you did not apply really late...as of DAT if you want to take it again make sure you are ready. It may have hurt you to take the test and not improve. Your stats are better than mine and I got into 2 schools so far. Just keep plugging with extracurricular and strengthen any part of your academics you feel were weaker in. Good Luck.

I havent got any interviews so far, which is really sad.

I just got two rejections from Marquette and UPenn.

I am still waiting for VCU, Maryland, Tufts, NYU, Temple, Howard.

I am pretty sure that I will get regection from Tufts, NYU

but I dont know about Howard and VCU which is around my home.

I got 14RC at first DAT and I improved 18 at second time, but I got lower science score in compare to first time, maybe this why I have not heard anything from schools.

If I wanna reapply again, should I write new personal statement again?

Applying a 2nd time is probably your only option of getting in. However you can't apply with the same numbers, I think they didn't interview you cause of your low DAT, and plus you only applied to 10 schools.... with your numbers, i woulda applied to over 20

So, retake that DAT, and aim for 20+ AA and TS. Along with 20+ schools, you should get some interviews this time around
