I recieved an invitation to participate in the International Scholar Laureate Program: Delegation on Medicine. Have any of you heard about this? I need feedback about it. Please help!

there was a thread concerning this about 3 weeks ago (assuming this is the program which you pay $4600 to attend in either australia, china or one other location?). the thread had mixed responses. Those who had attended seemed to have enjoyed it, but many doubted the reputation of the program and its standing among medical schools. i emailed the program for some extra info, pm me if you have any other questions.

Thank you 🙂. Yes it is that program. It sounds great, and I'm sure its fun, but my main concern is its standing among med schools. Its too expensive to go just for fun, and besides im deciding if i should go instead of taking the MCATs this summer.

I got this "invitation" too back in college. I think it's just based on your grades, and it's somehow related to the Golden Key Honor Society thing. Basically, it's not something medical schools will really care about, but it probably wouldn't hurt either. It's obviously more of a vacation than anything, but the price isn't that bad for what you get (assuming the price includes airfare). When I went to Australia (not with this program) we did a lot of the same things they do, and it was a lot of fun.
