If you could ADD/REMOVE any section on the MCAT.... what would it be?

I think I would remove verbal reasoning (i think most people would.. bah)

and.. i think i would add a physical component to the MCAT (sitting there and writing on paper for 4 hours is a doozy).

How about a physical assessment test on the MCAT?
The more out of shape you are, the lower your score. I think this would actually be legitimately fair, because if you want to be a DOCTOR, you better uphold the image of health. There is a nationwide concern that our doctors are all living unhealthy lives and this can be quite contradictory when doctors are telling their patients "to live healthy."

This section would not only improve the medical sector's image (and everybody in it would start to get a lot hotter... everybody likes a nice bod), but also decrease health issues such as obesity or unhealthy lifestyles in America. Why WOULDN'T you want this?!

Plus, it'd be nice to get off your seat and do something physical and release some endorphins. I'd probably put it right after the Writing Section so that you'll be all good to go for BS, the last section of the MCAT.

WS, no question. The writing sample is far different in terms of scope and skill assessment than BS, PS, or VR. Add to the fact that schools weigh it far less and that it is largely responsible for the 30 day waiting period (July 21...errr)

Although a mile race for a bonus point for all test takers after each administration would be sweet! Can you imagine the frenzy?

Yea, i would say verbal too, but only cause I think its the hardest... as far as the least important section though, writing definitely...

to the OP though, Yes, i Love seeing lung specialists go out back for a cigarette... cracks me up everytime

Definitely Verbal
Since when do doctors start talking to patients with unclear/hard to interpret literary terms? Scientific publications are easy to read and interpret for physicians, so what's the point of having difficult verbal passages that provide no benefits to future doctors but to undermine their confidence............. ANSWER ME

Another vote for WS. Stupid, pointless essays. How boring would it be to read all of those identically-formatted essays? No wonder there's such variation in scores.

Plus that would take care of the complaints about hearing typing while taking VR/BS.

I'd vote so get rid of the CBT, my eyes hurt after staring at a screen for so long, and I'm kinda old school, so I like paper and pencil.

replace "star wars trivia" with "harry potter trivia" and that'd be legit....

and I like the physical idea! that'd be awesome... or the golf thing would be cool too.
