I'm looking for reliable information on these programs. Does either have a specific focus? Good surgical volume? Teaching? Work hours? Are the residents happy? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!

and add
one thing about Duke-- I know med students there have a different curriculum
they do 1 year basic sciences 1 year clinical 1 year research and 1 year = 4th year interesting huh? i had no idea. i know that has nothing to do with residency.. but I thought it was interesting.

any feedback on duke or columbia would be good though. thanks!

I really didn't like Columbia. The day wasn't organized very well.. and the secretary just wasn't on top of things. She never returned my e-mails or phone calls..

the program is great on paper. but in person,

anyone else have a totally opposite opinion?
