Lol. Although after the expense and pure intensity of this process I think everyone who had some success deserves some anonymous Internet bragging - especially since the real world has no clue what goes into this.

Yeah, seriously. I haven't even told most of my real life friends about the recent updates to medical school apps since I don't know how to explain how I am still hearing back from schools/haven't decided/don't want to seem like I'm bragging, etc. Sort of difficult to keep this all to yourself. And to be honest, we deserve to feel proud about our accomplishments. This was an enormous, expensive, and time-consuming process to take on.
My response is "Oh, I'm still waiting. I probably won't know until summer" to almost everyone until I hear back from all schools. Then let the bragging begin 😀Yeah, seriously. It is hard talking to people who do not share our background. When I tell people I got into UCSF they say what's that (I live on the east coast). I've sent twenty people to wikipedia.
