Lol. Although after the expense and pure intensity of this process I think everyone who had some success deserves some anonymous Internet bragging - especially since the real world has no clue what goes into this.

Yeah, seriously. I haven't even told most of my real life friends about the recent updates to medical school apps since I don't know how to explain how I am still hearing back from schools/haven't decided/don't want to seem like I'm bragging, etc. Sort of difficult to keep this all to yourself. And to be honest, we deserve to feel proud about our accomplishments. This was an enormous, expensive, and time-consuming process to take on.

All of my friends know everything. I am a joy to be around.

My response is "Oh, I'm still waiting. I probably won't know until summer" to almost everyone until I hear back from all schools. Then let the bragging begin 😀

It is hard talking to people who do not share our background. When I tell people I got into UCSF they say what's that (I live on the east coast). I've sent twenty people to wikipedia.

That's crazy that people haven't heard of UCSF. They should at least be into it because it is in San Francisco 😉 Congrats on a great cycle!

Secondary/II/Waitlist/Acceptance

6/5/1/4

10/5/1/4 if you include the last minute OOS schools I decided to apply to when I panicked :scared:

Secondary/II/Attended/Accepted

11/8/4/3 (still waiting on 1, but not too hopeful)

so...73%. I got into my top choice pretty early on and so therefore ended up canceling a fair number of interviews.

Secondary/II/Accepted

14/5/1 <-- Only one that counts!

Oh and 3 waitlists -__-

This thread... there's no point since it depends entirely on how broadly or ambitiously you applied...indeed just a place to whine/brag/size other ppl up.

50% :meanie:

(Just wanted to hit my 100th post, and now I have. Ding Ding Ding, hurrayy!)
