I'm the Dean at the new IllinoisCOM in Chicago and I'm excited to announce we are officially open for applications for the inaugural class of 2026!
Here's a video announcing our preaccreditation status from COCA:

and the press release on Yahoo:

I'm very excited about our program. We are the fourth College at The Chicago School, which has been a national leader in Mental and Behavioral Health education for the last 45 years. Accordingly, we will have an elevated emphasis on the intersection of mental and physical health--which is a very Osteopathic core concept--and incorporate foundational principles of this framework in our Mind and Medicine longitudinal course. In this course we will also be including interprofessional education alongside our doctoral Psychology students and teaching our students about wellness and mental health in their own lives. Our curriculum is founded on providing exceptional outcomes on the COMLEX and our core competencies are based on the consensus document regarding this from the AACOM/AAMC/ACGME here: UME Competencies AAMC | AACOM | ACGME . We utilized a Student Advisory Council from all across the US, comprised of current Osteopathic students across the OMS 1-4 spectrum, to advise us on design elements and concepts from the building in Chicago to instructional design. Thus, our school is being built with DIRECT input from current medical students.

Glad to answer questions and inquiries and if anyone wants to correspond, a good email would be [email protected]

IllinoisCOM is the fourth college of The Chicago School, an independent national University. The Chicago School is a member of The Community Solution Education System, a nonprofit consortium of six independent colleges and universities across the US. One of those consortium members is Kansas Health Science University/KansasCOM. IllinoisCOM and The Chicago School are connected to the other members by membership in this consortium but do not share leadership, faculty, curriculum or clinical partners. All the members of TCSES maintain their independence. Hopefully this helps provide some insight.
