I thought you foot people would like to see what could go wrong with a bear mauling and a mis-directed shotgun shell.

Maybe pack it open and see what blood supply is left. Then make the call.

I was thinking a BK for sure, I mean you can look straight through and see that posterior blood supply is gone I just can't believe that the Achilles is still intact

I think a choparts amp should do the trick. Who cares about the nerves and blood supply. As long as he has plantar flexion still intact, might as well use it.

Rob you are a greedy man trying to do a Chopart's. Send it on its way. This is not our case. I think that there are much nicer prosthetics for a Bk

You've got perfortating blood supply and if this guy is against a BK you've got to come up w/ opitions. Maybe external fixation and then a bone graft. He's not going to walk but you may be able to keep the foot.

That is very true and plus it is our job as the specialist to come up with some pretty good ideas to save their foot. I guess I should be more "creative" and if it fails then go with the BK

No, no, you guys are still young in the game. You will soon learn. Panafil and a wet-to-dry will work just fine:laugh:
