I applied to Columbia for medical school. I never heard back form them once they took my money. I expect no less from them for residency.

Surprisingly, I received this from Albert Einstein-Beth Israel, NY, when asking if my application was complete a couple weeks back: "All invites for interviews have been scheduled at this time. Thanks for your interest in Beth Israel."

UIC offered my gf an interview... then wouldn't respond to multiple phone calls and emails for 2 weeks before finally picking up to tell her all their dates were now full.

When I contacted them they told me interview invites would be going out until mid-January. Don't know if that's an answer to your question or not.
