Hello, in the vain of the emergency medicine forum, could attendings ballpark their salaries, region, benefits, time off etc. I think it’s important for trainees soon to be graduating to know their worth, and will hopefully help those of us in training to work that much harder, thanks!

Radiology got hit before with CMS cuts due to forum posts.

If you are in training the best resources are the current fellows in your program. Ask them.

I appreciate your curiosity but this is so variable based on certain factors (practice type, geography, volume etc), and the small sample size on this site won't really mean much to you/current trainees...At the end of the day, one needs to know their compensation/wRVU. Also avoid private equity unless you desire to work more for less.

The range is wide. If you want to work all the time and can sleep at night having signed tons of mediocre reports, you can do as well as some specialist surgeons. The market is very tight right now. Don't count on it lasting because it's cyclical.

Huge range of incomes, but with physicians always targeted for pay cuts (see recent Washington Post hit piece), no one will post actual numbers. If you're graduating training, you can always pay for a contract review service which should have the MGMA data, and their own internal data from other contracts they've reviewed.

For med students, look up the MGMA data in your med school library. But just remember that so many things can change in 6+ years, whether reimbursement, government, AI, etc. Make sure you actually enjoy any field you choose to go into. For radiology, that usually means enjoying anatomy, pathology, technology, and not wanting to see patients all the time.

I don't really believe that some forum posts are going to lead to targeting a specialty for compensation cuts. There's plenty of data published.
