Hi Everyone,
I recently got accepted to TUN's MOT program and plan on attending orientation in July 2013 🙂 If anyone else is accepted and want to keep in touch until then, leave me a message! I'm really excited to meet those in my cohort!! We can help each other navigate the prep period! 😀

i had my interview last week... i loved the school and am anxiously awaiting my letter!!
 
I had an interview last week and was wondering how long it took to get your acceptance letter. Congrats on the accpetance!

Hi everyone! I have an interview at Touro at the end of the month. I was wondering how long after the interview it has taken for those of you to know that you are accepted. I am nervous I am one of the last interview groups-- hopefully they still have quite a few spots!!!

Hey SMOT I have been accepted to the MOT program at Touro & we will be in the same cohort 🙂 can't wait to meet you, congrats!!
 
Oregon State University: Bachelors in Exercise Sport Science Pre-Therapy
Undergrad GPA 3.3
Prereq GPA: 3.65
GRE 152V 148Q 3.0A (i actually retook the GRE & did worse the second time lol)
OT Volunteer: 380 hours (hand therapy, acute, peds, SNF)

I'm leaving Monday for a 6 week long OT peds internship in New Zealand, and they seemed to be really impressed by that in my interview 🙂

I was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with the school confirming an interview and later revoking the interview on the grounds of not having enough faculty for the interview? I am sure it has a great deal with the interview being on one of the final days. However, I have never heard of school withdrawing an interview after confirming it and flight plans have been made. Found this situation highly unprofessional.

Hi! I was wondering when is your interview date? I don't have mine until March 14 and that makes me really nervous!!! For all of those who interviewed already, are you there the whole time? So my interview says 8-2pm.. Can someone please give me a run down of what to expect? Thank you!
 
I got wait listed... Ugh I was really hoping for a yes! I guess there is still hope. Anyone know anything about their waitlist process?
 
does anyone know when the last day for those who have been accepted to confirm their spot in the program is? I am on the waitlist and anxiously waiting to hear my status

Not yet! Charles told me to keep checking and I should hear sometime later this Spring. They will notify first my email, followed by a letter in the mail. I am very anxious! I am curious to how full the class is right now.
 
I also received a wait list email...fingers are crossed. This is an awesome program. Good luck!

I was wait-listed and have not heard anything since. Just as an update.
 
I emailed Charles and he responded saying he does not have a time frame to when students on the wait list will be contacted. He said they may know the number of accepted students better by the end of April and if you are chosen for an available seat, you will be contacted by email.
 
I was also wait-listed. Does anyone know if they are still interviewing at Touro?

Does anyone know if the class is even full? It really seems like its no where close?
 
I recently applied to TUN Jan. of 2014 and just waiting for OTCAS to verify my GPA before they will look at my application for an interview or not. Anyone know what they really look for in applicants?

I applied to various schools for PT but decided on OT. My PTCAS GPA was 3.20 so I assume that OTCAS uses the same cumulative formula that it will come out around the same. I have worked in an outpatient PT clinic for 8 yrs and now doing my observation at an inpatient clinic for OT. I recently graduated with my BS with a 3.88 GPA. What can I do to improve my chances of getting in?

I have not heard anything yet. I'm kin of scared because OTCAS is taking forever on the GPA. I submitted my app on Jan. 20th but all my transcripts were not received until Feb. 4th. I called OTCAS Friday and they were on Jan. 30th
 
They took forever on mine too. Turned my stuff in in November didn't get verified until dec 29th.
Has TUN sent you a supplement app link yet?

Also, have you heard from any other schools??
 
I only applied to TUN this year because it was kind of last minute. I can't remember if I sent the supplemental ahead if time or not. When is your interview date? Late March?
 
I just found out today that the interview is march 27th. I'm worried because I applied late and I think this is one of that last interview days so I hope there are still some spots left.

About the supplement I know they won't take the supplement app until they actually send you the invite to fill it out which for me was 5 days after I applied (they sent it in early January). But my application was verified by otcas at that point so maybe that's what's slowing yours down?
 
Yeah probably. Yes I believe March is their last set of interviews for both OT and PT. I'm sure you will be fine!
 
@Male I just received confirmation of my verification. My GPA is 3.21. I hope that is good enough to at least get an interview.

Hello Everyone! I realize that it's been a while since this thread has been active but they are hard to reach via email so I thought I'd give this forum a shot. I am applying to Touro for the Fall 2015 start and was wondering if anyone had any reviews on the school. area, faculty, etc. Also, they don't provide any transcript evaluations so if there are any pros and cons please let me know. If anyone can give me insight on applying that would be great!
