Hi all,

I just wanted to contribute my 2 cents here.
I am a non traditional. When I first started looking up infos here, there were not much information about how old the pre requisites can be. Some, or most people, say no more than 3-5 years old, which means, you either have to apply right out of college or within 1-2 years.

I was out of school for more than 4 years, and having classes taken 7-5 years ago.
I was very nervous and concerned.

So, I called around, and the reality was very different.
Most schools have either 10 yr ok policy or no expiration date at all.

Don't feel it is too late, or feel you are too old. Most of all, better late than never.

I will leave schools that I contacted for this info.
Here is the list of school, as of 2018-2019 cycle:

No expiration date:
U of Pitts
UCLA
Michigan
Oregon

10 yr ok:
Maryland
OSU
UIC
Rutgers
NYU
UPenn
Temple
Marquette

Maybe ok with good DAT:
Connecticut
Case Western

The only school who was hesitant was BU, so I did not apply.

So, don't be discouraged just because of you have been out of school for long, and your pre-reqs are old.
As long as you show current DAT, they really didn't care about dates.

Dear non traditional fellows, study hard for DAT, score good, and just apply. You never know :)

I really hope I can leave a optimistic post later this winter with good results.
Good luck everyone!

Buffalo says 5 years, but if you remained in school (whether or not you continued to take basic science courses), or you continue to use the material in industry or research during your gap years, they may be willing to grant you an exemption.
