Hi everyone! When I went to college, I started off as a biomedical engineering major, but switched to Information Systems because I realized that it would be an easier major. However, my advisor is telling me not to major in this because it would be too hard to keep my gpa up with the competitive Comp Sci classes. He said I should go back to BME or switch to something easier. I know that major is not supposed to matter when applying to med school (MD), but I don't know if I want to give up coding (something I love) for a subject like applied math, linguistics, sociology, or bio (some of the other majors I'm considering). Should I switch?

We don't care what you major or minor in, as long as you do well. Comp Sci would be useful to have if Medicine doesn't work out.
Thank you. It's true that it would be useful, and that's exactly what my advisor said.
