Is it necessary to have internet connection at your apt during med school?

You need to ask the class before you. I suppose every school is different, but if you live close to campus then you could use the net at school. I am thinking of just keeping dialup internet (only about $9/month). Sometimes you school will provide you with free internet service.

Hmm... You are looking at internet access as a requirement. Shouldn't you be looking at it as a necessity?

easier is right, a lot of schools posts powerpoints for each lecture on the web and being able to download those at home or download video of your lectures from home if your school offers that would be awesome. its all about convenience and saving time, in med school anything that saves time is awesome.

I know some people who don't have internet at their place and they just download the powerpoints from school or from a friends place or any coffee shop w/ wireless. So I guess it's not mandatory but it sure makes life a heck of a lot easier!

It's a necessity at Minnesota because they have lectures online so you can go back and watch classes you missed or need to review. Personally, I think it is a definite perk!
