i have my interview this friday. just curious, i know that it is good etiquette to send a thank you note for the interview invite, but who do you send it to? the admissions office? the interviewer? ?? 😕
There was a post on here a while back that indicated that some schools don't want thank you notes sent. After your interview, I would quietly ask one of the administrative assistants if it would be possible to send a thank you note to your interviewer(s) and, if so, ask to whom/where you should address it.
Yeah, make sure before you send it. I had my interview at Temple and they told us not to make any contact with the interviewer or risk disqualification. They say they do it to avoid trying to sway the interviewer's opinion by either bribery or just trying to have them remember you.
I think it okay to take a notepad to write down their name and any questions u have but too nervous too remember. Its also easier to ask for a business card so you'll have the interviewer's name if its okay to send a thank you note.

Business card, good idea. I didn't think of that. Thanks.
Anyone else remember if it's OK ettiquitewise to have something to write on during the interview? Of course if you were just scribbling away while they were talking that would be bad... but to take names and answers to any of your specific questions, is that OK? Have you seen other people do this? Or is this something most people don't do?

to show your interest...you might consider asking further questions of your interviewer through e-mail if he/she agrees [along with saying 'thanks'] - you might be careful here though, as you don't want to take up much of their time...
I thought it would have been a good idea to send a thank you letter, so I did! The interviewer took the time out of his/her schedule to interview you - a thank you letter is appropriate. That is, of course, unless they ask you not to send one! I ended up getting accepted into that school. Just a thought!

I was given business cards by the professors and one of the students. I just emailed them back thanking them for their time and whatnot. If they don't give you a business card then just ask for one. But I think if they offer one, its a good sign that you did well, but that is not always the case. For UOP, I was given one and when I talked to other students that had the same professor as an interviewer, not all was given a business card.
